God’s Word – From the fruit of his lips a man is filled with good things as surely as the work of his hands rewards him. Proverbs 12:14

Proverbs 13 Fruitful Lips rewards us- the tongue of the wise brings healing.

Heavenly Father,
You are our refuge and strength in times of trouble.  We will not fear, even though the earth may tremble, the mountains quake and fall into the heart of the sea. Yes, Father you are our dwelling place.  We thank you for the gift of Christ.  We thank you for your provision in abundance in all areas of our life.  Teache us to number our days correctly,  so that we may gain a heart of wisdom.  Look upon our shield, God; look with favor on your anointed one.  Forgive us for our transgressions and sins.  It is our desire to repent quickly, love mercifully, and walk humbly before you.  We will forgive as you have forgiven us.  Better is one day in your courts than a thousand elsewhere; we would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of our God
than dwell in the tents of the wicked.  Protect us from evil, keep us away from those things that are evil in your sight.  Your are a sun and shield; You LORD bestow favor and honor; no good thing do you withhold from those who’s walk is blameless. Your word shows, blessed is the man who trusts in you. We will put our trust in you; we will commit all our plans before so that they will succeed.  We will be like the wise son that heeds his father’s instruction, but a mocker does not listen to rebuke. From the fruit of his lips a man enjoys good things, but the unfaithful have a craving for violence. We will not be like the unfaithful: We desire to watch our speech and not pour out lies- your word teaches the power of the tongue brings life and death and those who love it will eat its fruit. He who guards his lips guards his life, but he who speaks rashly will come to ruin.  We will guard our lips to preserve our life so that we will not come to ruin.  We thank you for the victories you bring.  We thank you for creating us to be more than conquerors – we know that in all things you Lord work for the good of those who love you, who have been called according to your purpose.”- Thank you for calling us; you Lord will fulfill our purpose for us; your love, O LORD, endures forever— please do not abandon the works of your hands. We rejoice in the wonders you have done, thank you for your unfailing love through our Lord of lords and King of kings Jesus- In Jesus name we pray…Amen!

Mercy, peace and love be yours in abundance,
Love in Christ,
Jennifer Pettiford
