God’s Word – Pay attention and listen to the sayings of the wise; apply your heart to what I teach, Proverbs 22:17

Proverbs 22 Pay Attention & Listen

Heavenly Father,

We will lift your name on high!  You created the heavens and the earth. All things are yours.  You reign over the just and the unjust.  The sun rises and sets at your command.  You showed favor to your land, O LORD; you restored the fortunes of Jacob.  You forgave the iniquity of your people and covered all their sins. Thank you for covering your daughters sins. You set aside all your wrath and turned from your fierce anger.  Restore us again, O God our Savior, and put away your displeasure toward us.  Thank you Father for restoring us… Thank you for your redeeming love, Thank you for your gift of Christ along with your salvation.  Show us your ways Lord, teach us your paths.  We will love deeply and forgive through your mercy and grace.  Remove from our hearts any unforgiveness.  Your daughters will not seek to  exploit the poor because they are poor and we will not crush the needy in court,  you LORD will take up their case and will plunder those who plunder them.  We will not make friends with a hot-tempered man, and we will not associate with one easily angered, or we may learn their ways and become ensnared.  Your daughters will not be like the man who strikes hands in pledge or puts up security for debts; Your word instructs if we lack the means to pay, our very bed will be snatched from under us.   We will heed the instruction of your word and watch our ways.   Your daughters will flee from evil and wickedness and stand firm in your word sown in our hearts.  We will be faithful to commit all our plans to you so that our plans will succeed according to your will for our lives.  Thank you for the gift of Jesus… Thank you for all of the victories you bring us.  It is in Jesus name we pray…Amen!

Mercy, peace and love be yours in abundance,
Love in Christ,
Jennifer Pettiford
