Proverbs 29

Prayer:
Heavenly Father,

We will praise you! We will extol you with all our heart in the council of the upright and in the assembly.  Great are your works Lord; they are pondered by all who delight in them. Glorious and majestic are your deeds, and your righteousness endures forever.  Father you have caused your wonders to be remembered; Yes, you LORD are gracious and compassionate.  Not treating us as our sins deserve.  We thank you for your love and your awesome gift of Christ in us.  We thank you for your word of truth that equips us for every good work you have called us to.   We will love one another deeply and forgive as you have forgiven us.  Your daughters will live a righteous life only through your power and strength. Your word teaches:  The righteous care about justice for the poor, but the wicked have no such concern.  We will show concern for the poor.  We will not behave as mockers that stir up a city; we will act wisely and turn away anger.  If a wise man goes to court with a fool, the fool rages and scoffs, and there is no peace.  We will seek peace and pursue it. Bloodthirsty men hate a man of integrity and seek to kill the upright. Thank you for your protection over us and our household. A fool gives full vent to his anger, but a wise man keeps him self under control. We thank you for not giving us a spirit of fear; you have empowered us with love and self control. Your daughters will not listen to lies; those who are wicked tell lies.  Your word shows us;  If a ruler listens to lies, all his officials become wicked.   The poor man and the oppressor have this in common: The Lord gives sight to the eyes of both. May you continue to enlighten the eyes of our heart.  Thank you for your word of truth that teaches us about your character.  Let us be humble and obedient daughters.  Let us not just love with words but with actions through the fruit of the spirit as your written word commands us to.  We thank you for the answers to our prayers.  We thank you for the wisdom of your word, strengthening us in our daily battle.  It is in Jesus name we pray…Amen!

Mercy, peace and love be yours in abundance,
Love in Christ,
Jennifer Pettiford
