Proverbs 18

Heavenly Father,
We love because you first loved us… You are a loving and compassionate God, You’re a Holy… You are our mighty God!  You do not treat us as our sins deserve.  May the words of our mouth and the meditation of our heart be acceptable to you.  We will lift up with healing words and forgive those who sin against us just as you have forgiven us.  Your daughters will not gossip.  The bible states the words of a gossip are like choice morsels; they go down to a man’s inmost parts. Your daughters will do their work unto you and not man; we will not slack in our work.  One who is slack in his work is brother to one who destroys. Your daughters do not want to be partners of destruction.  Thank you Father! The name of you LORD is a strong tower; we will do as the righteous and run to you and be safe. Father we will not count on riches, because riches are fleeting.  The wealth of the rich is their fortified city; they imagine it an unscalable wall. Before his downfall a man’s heart is proud, but humility comes before honor.  We will humble ourselves Father because in due time you will lift us up.  We will not answer before listening, whoever answers before listening— that is their folly and shame.  A man’s spirit sustains him in sickness, but a crushed spirit who can bear? We will desire the joy of your presence, because a cheerful heart is like good medicine.  Thank you for your awesome glory in each of our lives.  Thank you for your anointing on us.  Thank you for the gift of Jesus Christ that was our final sin sacrifice.  May your daughters be faithful to share your gift of salvation through Christ in those divine appointments you put before us.  Thank you for your provision and protection over us and our households.
In Jesus name we pray… Amen!

Mercy, peace and love be yours in abundance,
Love in Christ,
Jennifer Pettiford
