God’s Word: And now may the Lord show kindness and truth to you. 2 Samuel 2:6 (NKJV)

Wisdom Shared: Prayer is a matter of sacrifice… We must make the deliberate plan to pray through the day. I have a very good friend; Stephanie- She sets her iPhone alarm to pray for her 3 children and her grand-babies.   Regardless what is going on, she stops and prays.  Prayer is constantly needed! Prayer give us the opportunity to communicate with God the Father and fulfill our need to trust, commit and delight in Him through Christ. Prayer is always an appropriate response most definitely effective in power.   Prayer assist in keeping our lives in order by releasing our hurts, concerns and anxious thoughts on the foot of the throne.  It is through the faith, hope and love that is poured out in us that brings godly competence through confidence that only comes from above… Our Almighty God. He can make our crooked path straight … Direct our steps … Heal our diseases filling us with good things. The righteous person may have many troubles, but the Lord delivers him from them all; Psalm 34:19 Move forward through your day… Give thanks in all circumstance and he will lift you up if you are down.  He will fill you with songs of deliverance.  Bringing you from glory to glory – strength to strength.   The Lord Almighty is with us and he is Jesus.

Psalm 34:18-20 (NIV)
18 The Lord is close to the brokenhearted
and saves those who are crushed in spirit.
19 The righteous person may have many troubles,
but the Lord delivers him from them all;
20 he protects all his bones,
not one of them will be broken.

Grace and peace to you from God our Father.

Mercy, peace and love be yours in abundance,

Thanksgiving and Prayer
We always thank God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, when we pray for you, because we have heard of your faith in Christ Jesus and of the love you have for all God’s people— the faith and love that spring from the hope stored up for you in heaven and about which you have already heard in the true message of the gospel that has come to you. In the same way, the gospel is bearing fruit and growing throughout the whole world—just as it has been doing among you since the day you heard it and truly understood God’s grace.

Thank you Father for your infallible word of kindness and truth!
May it empower each us to do your will and live upright and godly life
through Christ Jesus that gives us strength…

In Jesus name-Amen!

God’s Word: At one time we too were foolish, disobedient, deceived and enslaved by all kinds of passions and pleasures. Titus 3:3a

Wisdom Shared:
Today is Election Day 2016 – Sadly for me I have observed some irrational exchanges in words, social media commentaries … memes and even broken friendships and family discord. I have observed the truth of what Christ has spoken: A good man brings good things out of the good stored up in his heart, and an evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in his heart. For the mouth speaks what the heart is full of. Luke 6:45 …
When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory. 5 Put to death, therefore, whatever belongs to your earthly nature: sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires and greed, which is idolatry. 6 Because of these, the wrath of God is coming.[ Colossians 3:4-6]

I personally, have had Christians verbally bash my decision which is by the way my freedom to vote. In regard to my view point on my free will to vote for who I feel would be most qualified candidate. There are many issues to consider… It is just not about abortion and same sex marriage. There are a host of issues that go along with right to life – same sex marriage. There issues in local government, infrastructure, health care, finances … the list goes on. I am not diminishing the right to life… nor am I minimizing same sex marriage … However, the lot has been cast on these issues and the only way these two issues will change is through involvement – not just sitting at home and stating this is wrong. It’s about getting the truth of God’s word out to these people, sharing the grace and glory of our heavenly Father has for ALL.

I don’t agree with abortion but I do know that each person is responsible for making that decision. I am not going to be held accountable for someone else’s decision to abort a pregnancy. There are many things that I disagree with the administration but the truth is, I know whom I serve, and the administration is giving the people what they want! I know through much fasting and prayer that if God places him in that position we will suffer greatly as a people. Just as the people wanted kings and God said NO! Then finally God did give them what they asked for … and it was not good. -

1 Samuel 8:18-20
18 When that day comes, you will cry out for relief from the king you have chosen, but the Lord will not answer you in that day.” 19 But the people refused to listen to Samuel. “No!” they said. “We wanta king over us. 20 Then we will be like all the other nations, with a king to lead us and to go out before us and fight our battles.” The people want same sex marriage they got it! They want God out of schools they got it! They want abortion they got it. But think about this … there are many broken women sitting in the pew next to you… next to me whom have had abortions … why? Because of fear … finances … frame of mind. What ever their reasoning these people didn’t know any better and you bet your life they live with that conviction every single day… and it hurts. Only one who has experience it can empathize with that sisters pain. So how do we in the church minister to this woman sitting in the pew next us? … by calling her a murderer? If God has shown us grace, we have the same obligation to minister to her and all of those woman sitting in the pew next to us. There is forgiveness for a repentant soul. As far as the other evangelicals supporting Mr. Trump I’m a follower of Jesus Christ, not of man. Approval of man leads to snares. And I’m not going to have my faith blind sided because of those evangelicals supporting Mr Trump. He is a sexist predator, and a weak man. I grew up in New York City as young and impressionable teen listening to his scandalous rhetoric then and honestly it has gotten worse! So please don’t sell me on the issues he claims he stands for because his words are stating the truth of his heart. Abortion – Same sex marriage and how we vote are personal decisions that each one of us will have answer to. The church needs to wake up! And the church needs to step it up to help the widows, the homeless, the poor, the mom who is considering having that abortion… the broken the weak etc. etc… Where are we for those whom are wrestling with that decision? Are we standing at the clinics ministering to these woman? If the Church was really interested in serving these woman there wouldn’t be 50 million deaths due to abortion. Its sad but faith without works is useless. The evidence is in our love and ability to be the hands and feet of Christ.

Mercy, peace and love be yours in abundance,
In Christ Love,

God’s Word: He has made us competent as ministers of a new covenant—not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life. 2 Corinthians 3:6 NIV

Wisdom Shared: We have been given this new life in Christ as ministers of the new covenant—
Each time I read this area of scripture I am reminded of my step Father Vince.
He is a patient, loving and grace filled man of God.  As I have grown in faith through the years and I have observed his ministry … it sets the tone of being the hands and feet of Christ.  This area of scripture inspires me through one of his Sunday devotionals that he shared while we were on a tour in Vermont a few years ago.  We are ministers of reconciliation — That has since stayed with me. It also brings to my thoughts my grandfather; Alfredo Perez Sr. … He also was the hands and feet of Christ.  The love and grace was apparent through the fruit in his life.  Although he had serious health issues, he maintain that heart of thanksgiving in ALL circumstance.  Even in hardships he was a light of grace fill the joy of the Lord that became his strength.  What an honor and great gift and legacy to leave the present and future generation.  My mother came from faithful prayer warriors that inspired her life in ministry through her gifts of prayer and administration through faith pour out through love and loving deeds.  It through those gifts that Mom and my step-Dad; Vince’s youth is renewed as the eagles. I have the great privilege to have come through a linage of faithful warriors … that inspire those who know them to aspire to grow in wisdom through the measure of faith poured out.
The exchange at the Cross give us  grace for God’s glory though the word of truth that gives us grace and glory! The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the One and Only, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.[John 1  ] John informs us the Law came through Moses but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.  As we move forward and go through the rhythm of the day Give thanks to Lord because he is GOOD!  He gives us grace and glory through the power of Jesus in us.   From the fullness of his [ Jesus’] grace we have all received one blessing after another.  John 1:16   So I find myself thinking I have no grace; through God’s word we are reminded the grace is His.  It is only through God we have  grace.  The Bible states; God is able to make all things possible for those who believe!  God is ABLE to make all grace abound to us so that in all things at all times being equipped with all our need, we will succeed in every good work we are called to.  [2 Corinthians 9 ]  That truly is strength for our life in Christ!   God the Father saved us not because of the righteous things we do, he saved us because of his mercy and grace.  He saved us through the washing of rebirth by the “Holy Spirit” whom he poured out in us generously through Jesus Christ our Savior, so that, having been justified by faith and not works, but by his grace, we might become heirs having the living hope of eternal life.  [Read Titus 3]
