God’s Word through the Psalms:
Psalm 6
A psalm of David.

1 Lord, do not rebuke me in your anger
or discipline me in your wrath.
2 Have mercy on me, Lord, for I am faint;
heal me, Lord, for my bones are in agony.
3 My soul is in deep anguish.
How long, Lord, how long?
4 Turn, Lord, and deliver me;
save me because of your unfailing love.
5 Among the dead no one proclaims your name.
Who praises you from the grave?
6 I am worn out from my groaning.
All night long I flood my bed with weeping
and drench my couch with tears.
7 My eyes grow weak with sorrow;
they fail because of all my foes.
8 Away from me, all you who do evil,
for the Lord has heard my weeping.
9 The Lord has heard my cry for mercy;
the Lord accepts my prayer.
10 All my enemies will be overwhelmed with shame and anguish;
they will turn back and suddenly be put to shame.

Wisdom Shared:
Psalm 6 is one of seven Penitential Psalms; great as prayers for brokenness over our sins …
In our fast pace digital social media world, we do not hear much about penance.
As I was doing my due diligence regarding Penitential Psalms; I came across a graph that showed that our
society since the 1800’s has grown less toward penance … The contrite heart is what God esteems.
Has not my hand made all these things, and so they came into being?” declares the Lord.“These are the ones I look
on with favor: those who are humble and contrite in spirit, and who tremble at my word. Isaiah 66:2

Heavenly Father,
Your word states that if we confess our sins you are faithful to restore us.
Father give us a heart to revere and obey you. Give us the mind of Christ
as we meditate on your word. May we be faith filled to trust and know that
you are for us. We thank you Father, for your word that equips us for every good work that
you call us to. In Christ Name, AMEN!

Mercy, peace and love be your in abundance,

God’s Word through the Psalms:
Psalm 5 – A psalm of David.

1 Listen to my words, Lord,
consider my lament.
2 Hear my cry for help,
my King and my God,
for to you I pray.
3 In the morning, Lord, you hear my voice;
in the morning I lay my requests before you
and wait expectantly.
4 For you are not a God who is pleased with wickedness;
with you, evil people are not welcome.
5 The arrogant cannot stand
in your presence.
You hate all who do wrong;
6 you destroy those who tell lies.
The bloodthirsty and deceitful
you, Lord, detest.
7 But I, by your great love,
can come into your house;
in reverence I bow down
toward your holy temple.
8 Lead me, Lord, in your righteousness
because of my enemies—
make your way straight before me.
9 Not a word from their mouth can be trusted;
their heart is filled with malice.
Their throat is an open grave;
with their tongues they tell lies.
10 Declare them guilty, O God!
Let their intrigues be their downfall.
Banish them for their many sins,
for they have rebelled against you.
11 But let all who take refuge in you be glad;
let them ever sing for joy.
Spread your protection over them,
that those who love your name may rejoice in you.
12 Surely, Lord, you bless the righteous;
you surround them with your favor as with a shield.

Wisdom Shared:
He leads us in His glory to victory! … Yes, beloved God’s favor is a shield.
As I meditate on this Psalm, it brings to mind that his faithful love endures all things.
His faithful love protects us from attacks of evil and wickedness and their wicked
schemes do not stand a chance. He detest the ways of the arrogant.
We can and should rest in confidence, that he brings us through the darkest times.
He leads us to the paths of righteousness. Yes, God the father is our shepherd,
he protects and corrects us. He blesses us with strength and peace through the
presence of Christ in us, and empowers us through wisdom and the
knowledge of His word through the power of Holy Spirit directing us.

Heavenly Father,
We thank Lord for you faithfulness and the love you surround
us with. We thank your for Jesus and the Holy Spirit in us.
Thank you for your word, yes Lord your word is a lamp unto our feet,
and a light to your righteousness, your
favor and honor protects us as a shield.
For that we are eternally grateful.

Mercy, peace and love be yours in abundance,
In Christ Love,

God’s Word through the Psalms:
Psalm 4
1 Answer me when I call to you,
my righteous God.
Give me relief from my distress;
have mercy on me and hear my prayer.
2 How long will you people turn my glory into shame?
How long will you love delusions and seek false gods[b]?[c]
3 Know that the LORD has set apart his faithful servant for himself;
the LORD hears when I call to him.
4 Tremble and do not sin;
when you are on your beds,
search your hearts and be silent.
5 Offer the sacrifices of the righteous
and trust in the LORD.
6 Many, LORD, are asking, “Who will bring us prosperity?”
Let the light of your face shine on us.
7 Fill my heart with joy
when their grain and new wine abound.
8 In peace I will lie down and sleep,
for you alone, LORD,
make me dwell in safety.
Wisdom Shared: If you look at the index of your bible under Bible Helps; Can’t sleep, Psalm 4 will be listed there. David found himself having sleepless nights, then he went before the great and awesome God, asked for help via prayer; trusted in Him for the answer. When I read this psalm, trusting in the Lord with all our heart, not relying on our own understanding … In all our ways acknowledge him and he will direct our paths.

In my own journey of faith, I have personally seen the glory of the Lord through Christ work miraculously. When we call out to the Father he answers us, it is not in our timing but his timing. Worry is a needless and counterproductive emotion that keeps us bound leading to worry and fear.

Do Not Worry:
“Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life? … Matthew 6:25-34
