God’s Word: Hear my voice when I call, Lord;be merciful to me and answer me. Psalm 27:7

Bless The LORD O’ My Soul … Lift Up His Holy Name…

Encouragement Shared:
I attended the premiere for the movie War Room …
And I came home inspired;
It impressed upon my heart, that our prayer life must be
a priority. That spending each day in God’s word is necessary
it stand firm for the good fight for the faith.
It brought me back to the time when I was a baby
Christian; I would write down every prayer … prayer request;
I would write down every scripture; The Lord brought me to
during my devotions; I have note books filled with prayers;
prayer request; and prayers lead by the Lord; even those
prayers from the scriptures that were place on my heart, for
me, and sometimes for me to share with others. The beauty
about that is … My prayer always has been to be that godly woman
that always has a timely word. [Proverbs 15:13]

It was journal writing and sending personal encouragements to people via email, cards and letters that started my ministry of blogging six years ago.
My prayer is that whom ever reads my blog be inspired to seek the Lord and seek his word for a full life with Christ, growing in wisdom, knowledge and understanding to know God’s perfect will for our journey of faith.

A person finds joy in giving an apt reply— and how good is a timely word! Proverbs 15:13

As I prepared for bed Psalm 103 is a song my church worship team sings and it was a
song in my head and my heart last night. It inspired me to share today.

Bless the LORD O’My Soul … Bless His Holy Name, Sing like never before O’My Soul … Bless His Holy Name.

PSALM 103

Bless the Lord, O my soul;
And all that is within me, bless His holy name!
2
Bless the Lord, O my soul,
And forget not all His benefits:
3
Who forgives all your iniquities,
Who heals all your diseases,
4
Who redeems your life from destruction,
Who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies,
5
Who satisfies your mouth with good things,
So that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.
6
The Lord executes righteousness
And justice for all who are oppressed.
7
He made known His ways to Moses,
His acts to the children of Israel.
8
The Lord is merciful and gracious,
Slow to anger, and abounding in mercy.
9
He will not always strive with us,
Nor will He keep His anger forever.
10
He has not dealt with us according to our sins,
Nor punished us according to our iniquities.
11
For as the heavens are high above the earth,
So great is His mercy toward those who fear Him;
12
As far as the east is from the west,
So far has He removed our transgressions from us.
13
As a father pities his children,
So the Lord pities those who fear Him.
14
For He knows our frame;
He remembers that we are dust.

Encouragement Shared:

Life has a way of geting in the way of LIFE!
Sounds rediculous but it is certainly true…
As we take a brief moment to analyze how this quick pace society can paralyze.
If we look to God and know he it the only one in true control of everything in our lives.
The good, the bad and the ugly…

God’s Word:
In his hand is the life of every creature
and the breath of all mankind.
Does not the ear test words
as the tongue tastes food?
Is not wisdom found among the aged?
Does not long life bring understanding?
“To God belong wisdom and power;
counsel and understanding are his.
If he holds back the waters, there is drought;
if he lets them loose, they devastate the land.
To him belong strength and victory;
both deceived and deceiver are his.
Job 12:10-13;15-16

There are seasons in our life that take us through time of drought… In those times we need to embrace those promises in God’s word so that we can be equipped for each circumstance. The joy of the Lord is truly our strenght. We need to fight the good fight of faith to reach the goal and finish the race well.
But you, man of God, flee from all this, and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance and gentleness. Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called when you made your good confession in the presence of many witnesses. In the sight of God, who gives life to everything, and of Christ Jesus, who while testifying before Pontius Pilate made the good confession, I charge you… 1 Timothy 6:11-13

The first time I heard my then Pastor Carl V Johnson Lead Pastor: http://www.gracepointgospel.org/ … He read 1 Timothy 6:11-13, “FLEE FROM ALL THIS” was emphasized in his voice when he read these verses; … It was then I came to the revelation and realization that God’s word has power to ignite the fire and passion for the living Christ via the Holy Spirit to teach, direct and reveal those secret things, that those out side of Christ find mysterious. However there is no secret or mystery, we need to seek the wisdom of God through the study and memorization of His “awesome” word. Yes, beloved the word of God bring change.

When life does not go as we planned we need to commit all our plans unto the Lord and our plans will succeed. Proverbs 16:3 Regardless of how small the plan it will be yes and amen in Christ- but we need to commit to him in order to see the victory come to fruition.
So when those doors keep shutting in your face. Or you miss the goals you have set in your heart. It could regarding work, school, relationship, or spiritual, what ever the case. You need not to lose heart, and as Paul says, Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize. Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last; but we do it to get a crown that will last forever. Therefore I do not run like a man running aimlessly; I do not fight like a man beating the air. No, I beat my body and make it my slave so that after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified for the prize. 1 Corinthians 9:24-26 The prize is eternal life with Christ and Our Heavenly Father… Finish the race and finish it well!

God’s Word: the faith and love that spring from the hope stored up for you in heaven and about which you have already heard in the true message of the gospel 6 that has come to you. Colossians 1:5

PRAYER …

Heavenly Father,

I Thank, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, when I pray for the saints in the body of Christ like your Daughters…because of her faith in Christ Jesus and of the love she has for the saints — the faith and love that spring from the hope that is stored up for your Daughters in the kingdom of heaven and that she has already heard about in the word of truth, the gospel that has come to your Daughters. All over the world this gospel is bearing fruit and growing, just as it has been doing among the life of each of your Daughters since the day she heard it and understood your grace in all its truth. For this reason, since the day I heard about Daughter’s faith, I will continue praying for her and asking you Father to fill her heart, mind and spirit with the knowledge of your will through all spiritual wisdom and understanding. And I pray this in order that she may live a life worthy of the Lord and may please you in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of you Father, being strengthened with all power according to your glorious might so that her soul may have great endurance and patience, and joyfully giving thanks to you the Father of all creation, who has qualified your Daughter to share in the inheritance of the saints in the kingdom of light. For you have rescued her from the dominion of darkness and brought her into the kingdom of the Son you love Father, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins. I thank you for the advance answer to this prayer and for bringing us to your wonderful glory…In Jesus name I pray. Amen.

Encouragement Shared:

In our journey of faith, we must hold to the promises of God’s word.
It is in our darkest times, our loneliest times, those times of despairing …
The vision that God has for us is revealed in his word. The word has power,
to reveal, revive, and redeem us to a place of strength, hope, faith and love.
As you start your day give thanks to God for the victory that is waiting
for you. He will never leave you or forsake you especially in your time
of need. The blessing of the Lord be with you.

Mercy, peace and love be yours abundance,
In Christ Love,

Colossians 1

Thanksgiving and Prayer
3 We always thank God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, when we pray for you, 4 because we have heard of your faith in Christ Jesus and of the love you have for all God’s people— 5 the faith and love that spring from the hope stored up for you in heaven and about which you have already heard in the true message of the gospel 6 that has come to you. In the same way, the gospel is bearing fruit and growing throughout the whole world—just as it has been doing among you since the day you heard it and truly understood God’s grace. 7 You learned it from Epaphras, our dear fellow servant,[c] who is a faithful minister of Christ on our[d] behalf, 8 and who also told us of your love in the Spirit.

9 For this reason, since the day we heard about you, we have not stopped praying for you. We continually ask God to fill you with the knowledge of his will through all the wisdom and understanding that the Spirit gives,[e] 10 so that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God, 11 being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience, 12 and giving joyful thanks to the Father, who has qualified you[f] to share in the inheritance of his holy people in the kingdom of light. 13 For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves, 14 in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.
