God’s Word for Your Joy: Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. James 1:2-3

Encouragement Shared:
Joy in Our Trials~
Is there really joy in our trials? Yes, there can be if we trust in God through the power of Christ in us. James 1 reminds us to consider our trials as joy, maturing to completion- Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. James 1:2;3;4 [ Paul states the same; Romans 5:1-5] God has said, “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you. So we say with confidence, “The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?”Remember your leaders, who spoke the word of God to you.. Consider the outcome of their way of life and imitate their faith. Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever. …Hebrew 13:5-8 May your whole spirit and mind be strengthen as you grow during your trials. Ask God to reveal the lessons he desires for you to learn for the character building he is forming in and through you. My Dearest Beloved, the one who calls you is faithful and he will do it! That is a promise in His Awesome Word! Yes, the joy is our strength when we put our dependence in God through Christ. The hope we have comes through the lessons of the word of God the Bible. In the those difficult times the word continually shows me God is my strength and our refuge. The enemy will flee when we stand firm on the truths of God’s word the bible.

2 Corinthians 10 Summarized Via Commentary on Biblegateway.com
Satan seeks to blind us from keeping our eyes on the prize (Jesus) our anchor of hope….He also wants to distract and distort our minds from God’s word of truth [Verses 1-6] that never perishes or fades. In This Chapter Paul gives us sound advice through power of the inspired word of God for Victory in spiritual warfare… In essence preparing us for every good work we are called to as written in God’s Word of Truth- Paul encourages young Timothy and I encourage you; All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man [woman] of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work. 2 Timothy 3:16-17
Be Christ like- Boldness must be balanced with meekness- [Verse 1]God’s mighty power is displayed and experienced in humility. [Matthew 5 The Beatitudes Psalm 138:3 When I called, you answered me; you made me bold and stouthearted.] Satan is our enemy, we are not a people to be held or seduced by his destructive power. (Matthew 4)
Use Spiritual Weapons- [verses 2-6] Look at the victory Joshua had in Joshua 6 he followed the commands of God and meditated on the word of God day and night! They shouted and the walls of Jericho came tumbling down because of Israel’s “Faith” and we know without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him. Hebrews 11:6 Read, memorize and pray-Ephesians 6:1-2 Our war is not against flesh and blood, but in the spiritual realms unseen by the human eye. So be faithful and diligent to put on your full Armor-The Armor of God Daily…
Keep your eyes on the prize- [Verses 7-11] Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Hebrews 12:2 You must know that the world says about the Bible, there is inconsistency in the bible, chances are that they have not looked intently to study the scriptures; that is deception of the enemy blinding them and having the opportunity to continue to work in their lives. My friend there are instances that this also occurs in the life of a Christian by keeping us in fear; allowing our emotions to control our actions; un-forgiveness; not being in God word daily or studying and memorizing the word of truth that prepares us for every good work, the list is endless you fill in the blank- So we do lose heart because the battle has already been won! [ Revelation 12:10-12]

Be joyful and accept the providential service God gives you- [Verses 12-16] Every child of God has a place to fill, if we are willing and obedient to follow his orders we the church will win the battle.. For victory we need many counselors; …for waging war you need guidance, and for victory many advisers. Proverbs 24:6- God’s word states; For lack of guidance a nation falls, but many advisers make victory sure. Proverbs 11:14 We are witnessing what Jesus stated would happen [Read Matthew 24; The Signs of the Times and the End of the Age & The Great Tribulation] The horse is made ready for the day of battle, but victory rests with the LORD. Proverbs 21:31-but you give us victory over our enemies, you put our adversaries to shame. Psalm 44:7-So he said to me, “This is the word of the LORD… ‘Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit,’ says the LORD Almighty. Zechariah 4:6 This is clearly visible in the account of David’s Victory over Goliath-David stated boldly to Goliath: This day the LORD will hand you over to me, and I’ll strike you down and cut off your head. Today I will give the carcasses of the Philistine army to the birds of the air and the beasts of the earth, and the whole world will know that there is a God in Israel. All those gathered here will know that it is not by sword or spear that the LORD saves; for the battle is the LORD’s, and he will give all of you into our hands.” 1 Samuel 17:46;47 [Read 1 Samuel 17; Zechariah 4] My friend the Lord is Mighty to Save! The LORD your God is with you, he is mighty to save. Zephaniah 3:17a

Seek God’s unfailing beauty and His glory alone- [Verses 17-18] How can a young man keep his way pure? By living according to your word. Psalm 119:9- Think about this how can we boast in victory that only comes from the Lord? … give glory to the LORD; exalt the name of the LORD, … Isaiah 24:15 My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my [your] heart. Psalm 73:26 When you read these verses Paul is quoting scripture; Jeremiah 9:24 reminding the church where the glory belongs. LORD, you establish peace for us; all that we have accomplished you have done for us. Isaiah 26:12 [Read Isaiah 26] Remember what Nehemiah stated as he over saw the rebuilding the broken walls of Jerusalem-The joy of the LORD is your strength. Nehemiah 8:10 [Psalm 121]

Lessons in God's Strength Against The Battle of Evil - Part 1 Fear

God’s Promise for you: So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you;  I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. Isaiah 41:10
But now, this is what the LORD says—
he who created you, O Jacob, he who formed you, O Israel:  “Fear not, for I have redeemed you;
I have summoned you by name; you are mine.
When you pass through the waters, I will be with you;
and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you.  When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze.  For I am the LORD, your God,
the Holy One of Israel, your Savior; Isaiah 43:1-3

Encouragement Shared:
My encouragement for today-For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. 2 Timothy 1:7 KJVAs I read 2 Corinthians 10- This thought came to mind… We have been given power and authority in Christ to grow in wisdom, knowledge and understanding to know his will for our lives. I see too often that we blame the enemy for everything that goes wrong in our lives instead we must view it as an opportunity to grow in faith; to persevere in order for God to grow our character. Our Faith is determined by the way we react in times of trouble. It becomes so easy to allow emotions to take control creating a platform to distort the voice of the Lord speaking to us through the power of his word. We fall into depression obsessions that keeps our eyes and focus on self instead of the cross.

Emotion Junction:
Yes Beloved, God the Father created us as emotional beings, but emotions out of control cause commotion in our lives. Not that you are unaware, but we sometimes fall into that temptation of depression it creates that isolation that keeps us from receiving God’s Glory and feeling defeated in our circumstance.  God is the strength of your heart Beloved. My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my [your] heart. Psalm 73:26

God’s Word: The words of the reckless pierce like swords, but the tongue of the wise brings healing. Proverbs 12:18

Encouragement Shared: When it comes to friendships we must be merciful, compassionate, loving and humble before our Lord… It was Thanksgiving, and I attended dinner with the family of a new friend … I just recently met Her and her husband at a new church that I was attending. It seems that my new friends were extremely generous because they had also invited two other single mom families that were also attending the same church fellowship. As the evening went by one of the single mom’s felt that it was necessary to invite her self to speak about my daughter and her reluctance to be social. At the time my daughter was 15 years old, and yes…extremely shy. I never pushed her to be social, I always figured God would some how work it out through her. The truth is my daughter was always by my side, she served in the children’s ministry since middle school. – During this Thanksgiving dinner of the single moms felt it was her job and duty to speak and critique my daughter’s character traits… without an invitation to do so. What possessed her to be so bold and intrusive? It took much fasting and prayer for me to forgive her intrusiveness, because she continued to do so repeatedly. The grievous part of all this was her attitude was with out love; Basically it comes down to this one point; it’s not what we say to one another it becomes a matter of the heart.- [1Corinthians 13] Are we loving, patient and kind; are we counting wrongs; are we behaving arrogantly; boastful…Peter stated; love covers a multitude of sins…I shared this with a good friend, I believe that God used her words as confirmation to the fact without love we can do no good thing…It’s hard to love our neighbor as ourselves.

Fasting to Forgive:
The truth is beloved, fasting and prayer brings results…
It was my heart that needed change. It was my heart that needed to display grace… for the face remains it is for the grace of God that I have received salvation. In that season of fasting for my heart and attitude, I was led to 1 Thessalonians 5- Final Instructions 3 times in one day. The only that matters is faith expressing itself through love. Galatians 5:6- Love is patient, love is kind-1 Corinthians 13:4 I am not a patient or kind person so I must rely on Christ for those attributes with a host of others-In looking at the Final Instructions as written by Paul through the Holy Spirit; It breaks down to this point; In order to speak in someone’s life we must love and respect-one another before speaking through the joy of Christ in us. It is through the joy of the Lord that is our strength-Nehemiah 8:10. Being thankful to God the Father in all our circumstance and prayerful over the words of our mouth that bring power of life or death-From the fruit of his lips a man is filled with good things as surely as the work of his hands rewards him. Proverbs 12:14 It took a long time for me to forgive that sister in Christ, I never did confront her, because I was so angry that I was not sure that I could contain my words. I trusted in God to work within her to bless her and show her the way to go …and know that He is faithful to do so.
