God’s Word: Lord, let us walk in newness of life – just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life. Romans 6:4b

Who can say, “I have kept my heart pure; I am clean and without sin”? Proverbs 20:9

Father Help Us to Forsake Our Wicked Ways:
Let the wicked forsake his way and the evil man his thoughts. Let him turn to the LORD, and he will have mercy on him, and to our God, for he will freely pardon. Isaiah 55 Sometimes our wickedness gets in the way, and in those times I do submit that the truth is not on the tip of our tongues setting us free.
We need to trust in the Lord at all times; Isaiah says trust the LORD forever. That comes from putting our hope in the word of truth that God breathed out to guides us and speak to our souls.

The Word of Truth Takes Root:
When we believe in all that the Lord has said we walk in newness of life. We have understanding to obey is better than sacrifice. Then we beginning to experience the freedom of the word and the blessing it brings through obedience. Our lives display the fruits of the spirit allowing us not feel shame in speaking your truth in love through the power of Christ living in us. I am truly blessed by my friends that God has placed in my lives that do speak truth into my life. Even in times that I am not excited at what they share, when it is shared through the love of Christ and the power of his word working in and through their lives. I wait for the LORD, my soul waits, and in his word I put my hope. It is only through the word of God that our values and integrity takes root and bears good fruit in and through us. Let us forsake our wicked ways and seek the Lord with all our strength, through the word of truth.

Isaiah 51:6-8 Pay Attention:
“Pay attention, my people.
Listen to me, nations.
Revelation flows from me.
My decisions light up the world.
My deliverance arrives on the run,
my salvation right on time.
I’ll bring justice to the peoples.
Even faraway islands will look to me
and take hope in my saving power.
Look up at the skies,
ponder the earth under your feet.
The skies will fade out like smoke,
the earth will wear out like work pants,
and the people will die off like flies.
But my salvation will last forever,
my setting-things-right will never be obsolete.
“Listen now, you who know right from wrong,
you who hold my teaching inside you:
Pay no attention to insults, and when mocked
don’t let it get you down.
Those insults and mockeries are moth-eaten,
from brains that are termite-ridden,
But my setting-things-right lasts,
my salvation goes on and on and on.”

God’s Word – The LORD is good, a refuge in times of trouble. He cares for those who trust in him. Nahum 1:7

Encouragement Shared:
Yes, sisters trust in the Lord and put your trust in his word of truth.
We need to Memorize-Read-Meditate-Apply-Pray each day over the word. The word of God will be sown in our heart. The word of God will be ready on the tip of our tongue. The word of God will equip us for every good Work God has called us to. God’s faithfulness is alive in his word of hope the Bible… Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart. Then you will win favor and a good name in the sight of God and man. Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. Proverbs 3:3-6

Prayer for Our Husband Psalm 34:1-7

Heavenly Father,
1 My husband will bless the LORD at all times;
His praise shall continually be on his lips.
2 My husband’s soul will make its boast in the LORD;
The humble will hear it and rejoice.
3 O magnify the LORD with us,
And let us exalt His name together.
4 My husband sought the LORD, and He answered him,
And delivered my husband from all his fears.
5 My husband looked to Him and is radiant,
And his face will never be ashamed.
6 This poor man cried, and the LORD heard him
And saved him out of all his troubles.
7 The angel of the LORD encamps around those who fear Him,
And rescues them. Thank you Lord, for sending your son Christ to be present all around us especially my husband. Thank you for deliviering my husband from all his fears and showing him your tender mercies. We love you Lord, thank you for loving us first. In Jesus name I pray …AMEN!

God’s Word: …let us draw near to God with a sincere heart and with the full assurance that faith brings, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and having our bodies washed with pure water. Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful Hebrews 10:22-23

Encouragement Shared:
Our discouragement comes from a lack of faith, our depravity comes from a lack of faith… Our fears paralyze us because of lack of faith.  I do not like to give credit to the enemy for everything that goes wrong in life. Nothing occurs without God allowing it to occur; Job chapter 1- Faith comes by hearing the message and the message comes by every word of Christ. [Romans 10:17; James Chapter 1] it is our very own sinful nature that keeps us bound… Of course there are people whom are demonically oppressed, however we have been given free will to do what we chose. We have sword of God to equip us for every good work we are called to through Christ Jesus along with the power of the Holy Spirit. No weapon forge against us shall prosper! Thats not to say we will not suffer trials or lesson that strengthen us so that we can receive the comfort and give the same comfort we have received ourselves [2Corinthians 1] Honestly we cannot blame the enemy for our bad choices or our lack of faith. We as individuals must look to the word of God as a mirror to our souls; and ask those difficult questions: Iis this a trial? or Is this a consequence for moving ahead of God? or Is it due to sin? …

We Have the tools to cast out doubt!:
Doubt is a result of sin.  Sin is selfish individual need to do what i want. The revelation comes at the appointed time it speaks of the end and will not prove false, though it may linger wait for it… It will not delay! [Habakkuk 2] which brings me to: Hebrews 10 the entire chapter… But specifically; Hebrews 10:36-39 speaking of perseverance: (we) You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised. For, “In just a little while, he who is coming will come and will not delay. And,“But my righteous one will live by faith. And I take no pleasurein the one who shrinks back.”But we do not belong to those who shrink back and are destroyed, but to those who have faith and are saved.  We are sons and daughters of the most high God!  We must grow in wisdom and faith and seek through the scriptures… Those are the promises of God that makes us complete lacking in no good thing… We are sealed redeemed sanctified and restored in Him Christ who is our joy and is our strength. [Ephesians 1; Nehemiah 8;10; ] we can accomplish all things through Christ that gives us strength. Philippians 4:13 … It is through obedience and fear [ reverence] of the Lord that we have the ability of attaining spiritual success… As the case was with Job he went through hardship and he stood firm on the “faith” even after losing everything his family, his health, his wealth and his possessions. Joseph went through hardships but in the end he also received the glory and favor of God through perseverance and faith.  When we are obedient we will receive the best of the land [isaiah 1:19] James 1:12-15 states

Blessing in Perseverence:
Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him. When tempted, no one should say, “God is tempting me.” For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt anyone; 1but each person is tempted when they are dragged away by their own evil desire and enticed. Then, after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, gives birth to death. If anyone is suffering discouragement they should read the gospels Matthew John Mark and Luke … The book of Philippians is a book filled with joy.  Just because we are in a season of discouragement hardship we can still find comfort through joy that is Jesus.

Mercy, peace and love be yours in abundance,
In his Love, Jennifer Pettiford
