God’s Word ~
Whom have I in heaven but you?
And earth has nothing I desire besides you.
My flesh and my heart may fail,
but God is the strength of my heart
and my portion forever. Psalm 73:25-26

Encouragement Shared: As I meditate on this Psalm and these verses it brings to mind the reality of the promise of God’s word. The reality is God’s word revives the heart, fills our spirit with good things. The main ingredient for this personal revival is “Faith”.

This year has been a very difficult year physically… I have an auto-immune disease called scleroderma. I was diagnosed almost 13 years ago. In 2000, I had end stage kidney failure, then in May 2002, my kidney function returned. It is only through the grace of God I’ve been healthy and blessed to live a normal life without any debilitating issues that this aweful disease brings. This year from February to May, I have been in and out of the hospital. < It has been a personal time of reflection, it has been a true testament of God’s continued grace for me. I thank God for his unfailing love through those wonderful saints that have come along side of me in prayer, and in loving acts of kindness to help. Through this season it has reiterated that we may have our plans but, it is God’s purpose that prevails. [Psalm 16] I have learned that I must slow it down. I must put more trust in the God I serve and be less dependent on my own strength. I thank the Father for his unfailing love, for his grace and glory in my life.

So often we set our minds on our circumstance instead of trusting God to be our provider, the strength of our hearts. We need to come to the understanding if God is for us? Who can be against us?

Things to Consider:
I want you beloved to consider those issues that keep you from allowing God the Father to revive, renew and restore your faith to a higher understanding. Make a list and prayer over those issues that hinder the faith.

Verse for Encouragement: The Sovereign LORD is my strength; he makes my feet like the feet of a deer, he enables me to tread on the heights. Habakkuk 3:19 ~

Habakkuk’s Prayer

16 I heard and my heart pounded,
my lips quivered at the sound;
decay crept into my bones,
and my legs trembled.
Yet I will wait patiently for the day of calamity
to come on the nation invading us.
17 Though the fig tree does not bud
and there are no grapes on the vines,
though the olive crop fails
and the fields produce no food,
though there are no sheep in the pen
and no cattle in the stalls,
18 yet I will rejoice in the LORD,
I will be joyful in God my Savior.
19 The Sovereign LORD is my strength;
he makes my feet like the feet of a deer,
he enables me to tread on the heights.

God’s Word – Look to the Lord and his strength;seek his face always. 1 Chronicles 16:11

Encouragement Shared:
The Power of Prayer through the Word of God is a powerful tool, I was prompted to send this prayer of protection. Beloved may his protection empower you to continue to seek the Lord diligently…His words states By me princes rule, and nobles, All the judges of the earth. I love those who love me, And those who seek me diligently will find me. Riches and honor are with me, Enduring riches and righteousness. Proverbs 8:16-18

Empowered by God’s Word:
In Order to be “EMPOWERED” with God’s strength we must spend time in the presence of the Almighty God and in His word.
Just as we need food and water for our bodies, we need the enrichment of God’s Word in our spirit to empower us to do every good work we are
called to do through Christ in us.

God is the Strength of Our Heart: Let God through Christ he be the strength of your heart today and forever more… May you be joyful, pray continually, be thankful in all circumstance, this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus…The one who calls you is faithful and will do it. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18;24

Prayer of Protection Psalm 4

Heavenly Father
We thank you for love; your mercies that fail not, Great is your “Faithfulness” -We thank you Father for the word of hope that is sown into our hearts To lift us up when we are down. We sing praises to your name, Our Lord and King. We thank you for the Holy Spirit that you have deposited in us, we thank you for Loving us so much that you gave your one and only Son to die on that cross to become an
offering for me this wicked servant and all your children that call upon the name of the Lord Through Jesus Christ… Father I lift up to you Your Precious Daughters, hear her when she calls O God of my righteousness! You have relieved Your Daughters in all her distress; Have mercy on Your Daughters, and hear her prayer. How long, O you sons of men, Will you turn my glory to shame? How long will you love worthlessness And seek falsehood? May Your Daughter know that the LORD has set apart for Himself she who is godly; The LORD will hear when Your Daughters calls to you.

Your word exhorts us: Be angry, and do not sin. May Your Precious Daughters meditate within her heart on her bed, and be still. She will offer the sacrifices of righteousness, And put her trust in her LORD the living God. There are many who say, “Who will show us any good?” LORD, lift up the light of Your countenance upon Your Daughters, their entire household- marriages husband, children, – singleness, families and special friends. You have put gladness in Your Daughter’s heart, more than in the season that their grain and wine increased. Your Daughters will both lie down in peace, and sleep; may her sleep renew her youth like the eagles. For You alone, O LORD, make Your Daughters dwell in safety. We thank you for your tender mercies; we thank you that even thought weeping may last for a night joy comes in the morning. May the joy of the Lord be Your Daughters’s strength; as she moves from glory to glory – strength to strength till you become the strength of her heart today and for ever more. In Jesus name I pray Amen!

God’s Promise

And when the Chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the crown of glory that will never fade away.

Young men( women), in the same way be submissive to those who are older. All of you, clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, because,

“God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.” Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. 1 Peter 5:4-6

Encouragement on Wisdom

I share these things not because you do not know or believe but to make your joy complete. We write this to make our joy complete. 1 John 1:4 Joy completes us!

The Lord has been speaking to my heart about Pride and Arrogance; I am always faithful to share as “The Holy Spirit” prompts me to.

Pride and Arrogance are a couple of those sneaky characteristics that we generally believe that could not possibly be in the heart of a Christian.

Unfortunately that is not true, I know this because his word make mention of this. Jeremiah the prophet spoke these words:

The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Who can understand it? “I the LORD search the heart and examine the mind,

to reward a man according to his conduct, according to what his deeds deserve.” Jeremiah 17:9-11NIV The Proverbs 8:13 states, I hate pride and arrogance.

I have been meditating and seeking how this applys to my very own life. It has opened up new doors to those characteristics that need to be placed on the foot of the cross and left there.

It also inspired me to write on this topic specifically because it is one of those sins that sneaks it’s way into the life of a Christian creating a platform of destruction.

It is not like those obvious strong holds such as addiction, sexual sin, unforgiveness, bitterness, unbelief etc…etc…

The Lord continues to reveal that PRIDE is one of the enemy’s greatest weapons of destruction in the life of a Christian. Pride robs us of the blessings that are waiting for us.

The writer of Hebrews exhorts us-Remember your leaders, who spoke the word of God to you. Consider the outcome of their way of life and imitate their faith. Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever. Do not be carried away by all kinds of strange teachings. It is good for our hearts to be strengthened by grace…Hebrews 13:4-9 NIV When ever I read that passage of scriptue, I always think of my Pastor, Pastor King-He is always exhorting his flock through the teaching of the word of truth, to get in the word stay in word. I look at his family and their lives depict faith, hope, love and obedience in action. That is the definition of spiritual success and strength.

The word gives us life direction, healing, restoration and hope through the promises written in God’s inspired word. It also fill us with wisdom, knowledge and understanding that gives illumination for those characteristic that keep us in our bondages. In order to receive and not be deceived we must believe, live and know the word is a lamp unto our feet and a light onto our path. Psalm 119:105 My one of constant prayers is not to allow any bitter root to spring up and defile many. To allow the word of God to instruct, direct and feed the mind, heart and spirit.Make every effort to live in peace with all men and to be holy; without holiness no one will see the Lord. See to it that no one misses the grace of God and that no bitter root grows up to cause trouble and defile many…Hebrews 12:7-15NIV

Pride is a thief-

It cheats us of God’s devine plan for our lives…Why? We demand having our way…

It robs us of our joy…Why? Because we deserve better than this…

It robs us of knowledge…Why? We already know it all…

It keeps us from being healed…Why? We are to filled with pride to forgive…

It keeps us from the holiness gifted to us by the blood…Why? We refuse to admit we are wrong…

It steals genuine friendships/relationships…Why? We are not willing to be transparent…

Hold fast and true to his Perfect and Flawless word and watch the fruit grow in your life…

The fruit of the Spirit is Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness and Selfcontrol…

Seek the LORD and his strength and keep seeking…Psalm 105:4 NLT…

Mercy, peace and love be yours in abundance,

Love in Christ,

Jennifer
