God’s Promise
Every word of God is pure; he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him. — Proverbs 30:5 KJV~

Encouragement Shared:
The bible states that every word of God is pure…
So I ask why is so hard to put our trust in HIM?
Why the struggle? — Why do we resort to our emotions?
Anxiety, anger, bitterness, fear, pride, un-forgiveness, and worrying — these all lead to emotional commotions they are
strongholds that keep us paralyzed. It robs us of receiving the joy that completes us through God’s loving grace.
We need to hold on to our anchor of “Hope” Christ Jesus! We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure. Hebrews 6:19aNIV
We also need to look intently to the word of God as a mirror to our souls…Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says. Anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says is like a man who looks at his face in a mirror and, after looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like. James 1:22-24 NIV
Jesus stated-”I tell you the truth, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be condemned; he has crossed over from death to life. John 5:24
What an encouragement life over death-He sent forth his word and healed them; Psalm 107:20

Personal Challenge:
My encouragement for you today is put in action looking intently at the word of God. Lay down those emotions at the foot of the cross that you have been finding your self wrestling with.
Start by reading the Proverbs, there are 31 Proverbs one for each day. Take the personal challenge I guarantee you will receive — blessings of wisdom, knowledge and understanding.
President Theodore Roosevelt quoted, “‘A thorough knowledge of the Bible is worth more than a college education.”
Taste and see the goodness of God’s healing power of the word — … the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. Hebrews 4:12 NIV (Please send praise reports you do not need to share specifics)

King Solomon writes; Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him. Proverbs 30:5-KJV
These are the proverbs of King Solomon of Israel, David’s son: He wrote them to teach his people how to live-how to act in every circumstance, for he wanted them to be understanding, just and fair in everything they did. I want to make the simple-minded wise! he said, ” I want to warn young men about some problems they will face. I want the already wise to become wiser and become leaders by exploring the depths of meaning these nuggets of truth.” How does one become wise? The first step is to trust and reverence the Lord. Proverbs 1:1-9TLB ( The Living Bible)

God’s Word: Turn from evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it. Psalm 34:14

Encouragement Shared: In our everyday ordinary life we can seek the Lord in all matters that need decision making or we can rely on self… The truth is we attain better results when we trust commit and delight in Him. (Psalm 37: 1-5) We also need to remember that we can do no good thing without him.

Apart From Christ We Can Do Nothing: Christ is Vine – Remain in Him
John 15
5 “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. 6 If you do not remain in me, you are like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned. 7 If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. 8 This is to my Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples.
How often have I fallen into the trap of moving forward without waiting on the Lord. How often I have made a decision based on my outward circumstance. I have learned in my journey of faith that God is in control of all things. He knows the beginning, the middle and the end. We may perceive we know what is best, but the truth is God ways are higher. He is faithful and worthy of our complete trust. (Proverbs 3:5-6) … This wisdom will bring well being to your body, mind and spirit.

Complete Trust in Him Brings Victory… In matters of close relationships; work situations … and family disputes; we need to turn off our instincts to do evil and do good instead. To be at peace, and continually pursue it, it is the peace of God that empowers us through the hope that is the living word the bible.
We need to cast our anxiety on him because he cares for us. 1Peter 5:7 It’s easier said than done… however we can do all things through Christ that brings us strength. Philippians 4:13

My prayer for you: Allow the joy of His presence be with you as you go through your day. Continually pray and seek the Lord for his strength and continually seek him.
Mercy, peace and love be yours in abundance,
Love in Christ,
Jennifer Pettiford

Psalm 32
1 Blessed is the one
whose transgressions are forgiven,
whose sins are covered.
2 Blessed is the one
whose sin the Lord does not count against them
and in whose spirit is no deceit.

3 When I kept silent,
my bones wasted away
through my groaning all day long.
4 For day and night
your hand was heavy on me;
my strength was sapped
as in the heat of summer.[b]

5 Then I acknowledged my sin to you
and did not cover up my iniquity.
I said, “I will confess
my transgressions to the Lord.”
And you forgave
the guilt of my sin.

6 Therefore let all the faithful pray to you
while you may be found;
surely the rising of the mighty waters
will not reach them.
7 You are my hiding place;
you will protect me from trouble
and surround me with songs of deliverance.

8 I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go;
I will counsel you with my loving eye on you.
9 Do not be like the horse or the mule,
which have no understanding
but must be controlled by bit and bridle
or they will not come to you.
10 Many are the woes of the wicked,
but the Lord’s unfailing love
surrounds the one who trusts in him.

11 Rejoice in the Lord and be glad, you righteous;
sing, all you who are upright in heart!

Encouragement Shared:
Psalm 32:1-4

1 Oh, what joy for those
whose disobedience is forgiven,
whose sin is put out of sight!
2 Yes, what joy for those
whose record the Lord has cleared of guilt,[b]
whose lives are lived in complete honesty!
3 When I refused to confess my sin,
my body wasted away,
and I groaned all day long.
4 Day and night your hand of discipline was heavy on me.
My strength evaporated like water in the summer heat. Interlude
Psalm 32 in the New Living Translation: Simplifies the words that cause us to think about our attitudes and behaviors.
Disobedience through Christ forgiven…
Our sin is moved out of sight…
Joy for the Gulity
Blessings for an honest life…
Refusal to confess our sins lead to a wasted body… an ineffective life.
God’s Discipline can be heavily upon us…
But when we confess our sins he redeems us from the pit…

As I look at this powerful Psalm in only the first few verses, I inductively see the key words that stand out on the page.
These words are things that we must ponder in order for us to grow in wisdom and grace through the word of God.

When God reveals the sin in our heart… We must be faith to acknowledge, confess and God is faithful and just to redeem us from all
unrighteousness. -1John 1:9… as you move through your day and through your week, ponder these things that God the Father
has revealed to you … When God reveals our sins and faults we must be faithful to act on it. If we do not we will suffer the consequence of our
poor choices. Keep looking to him beloved he is faithful and just, he will wash us clean through the almighy presence of Christ in you.

Mercy, peace and love be yours in abundance,
In Christ Love,
Jennifer Pettiford
