God’s Word – Return, O LORD, and rescue me. Save me because of your unfailing love. Psalm 6:4

Encouragement Shared: Love is the Power ~ Jesus is the “POWER” that helps through our trails. Jesus is the sustaining force
that delivers us to victory. Jesus is the strength of our hearts that empowers us in our time of need. Trust and believe beloved that the power of God’s unfailing love is Jesus. Let us trust in the power of God’s love and not our own understanding, and in all our ways we will acknowledge HIM. The one who calls you is faithful… he will never let his righteous ones fall.

Mercy, peace and love be yours in abundance,
Love in Christ,
Jennifer Pettiford

Prayer:

Heavenly Father
We we are sick at heart.
How long, O Lord, until you restore us?
Return, O Lord, and rescue us.
Save us through your power, because of your unfailing love.
For the dead do not remember you. Who can praise you from the grave?
Lift us up Father and let your light shine upon us through your unfailing love.
We thank you Father for Jesus… The power of your love shown us and in us.
In Jesus name….Amen!

Psalm 6 – New Living Translation (NLT)

1 O Lord, don’t rebuke me in your anger
or discipline me in your rage.
2 Have compassion on me, Lord, for I am weak.
Heal me, Lord, for my bones are in agony.
3 I am sick at heart.
How long, O Lord, until you restore me?

4 Return, O Lord, and rescue me.
Save me because of your unfailing love.
5 For the dead do not remember you.
Who can praise you from the grave?[b]

6 I am worn out from sobbing.
All night I flood my bed with weeping,
drenching it with my tears.
7 My vision is blurred by grief;
my eyes are worn out because of all my enemies.

8 Go away, all you who do evil,
for the Lord has heard my weeping.
9 The Lord has heard my plea;
the Lord will answer my prayer.
10 May all my enemies be disgraced and terrified.
May they suddenly turn back in shame.

God’s Word – “For God loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16

Encouragement Shared: John 3:16 is one of the most known verses through out our life in and out of Christ. You see it on bumper stickers; football games and its claim for the promise of God’s love for “ALL” who believe that Jesus died for us. Jesus is the “Power” behind that love that God professed. 1John Chapter 4; states more than once God is love, we love because he first loved us. It is the power of that Love that compels us to seek God while he may be found. It is the power of that love that draws us closer by the washing and purification of the word of truth the Bible that ministers us in our time of need. It gives us the endurance to grow in faith and to live by faith.

Romans 5
Therefore, since we have been made right in God’s sight by faith, we have peace with God because of what Jesus Christ our Lord has done for us. 2 Because of our faith, Christ has brought us into this place of undeserved privilege where we now stand, and we confidently and joyfully look forward to sharing God’s glory.

3 We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance. 4 And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation. 5 And this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love.

Mercy, peace and love be yours in abundance,
Love in Christ,
Jennifer Pettiford

Prayer:
Heavenly Father,
Help us to understand the message of love through Christ’s death on the cross. Help us to feel the joy of our salvation.
Help us to grow in wisdom and in faith to live through joy of salvation that is Jesus so that we
can have full knowledge of your love to build endurance, endurance develops strength of Character,
and character strengthens confident hope through your gift of salvation… Thank you Jesus, for your
death on the cross that displayed a love beyond our relam of understanding… Thank you Father for your
Holy Spirit that empowers through your guidence to move from strength to strength – glory to glory. In Jesus name…AMEN!

God’s Word – …fix your attention on God. You’ll be changed from the inside out. Romans 12:2 MSG [The Message]

Encouragement Shared: When we fix our eyes on Jesus, super natural things happen when we trust and believe. Today I as I spent my devotional time in God’s word the encouragement was empowering. It reiterates that we are not in control of our lives as much as we want to believe. It’s a hardship – It’s a tragedy and a burdensome life when we are not reliant on God through Christ. When we work in our own strength; we lose hope-we lose stamina-we feel defeated and depleated of the joy of the Lord, which by the way is our strength. Jesus is the joy… and it is that very joy that is Christ that ignites our faith and gives us the stamina to move forward and carry on toward the goal of “Faith”. And through the call for each of our lives. Beloved, trust and believe that if you place your ordinary life before God; Your ordinary life will certainly be extra-ordinary.

Prayer:
Heavenly Father,
Help us find our way to you through your love, your grace, your mercy and your strength
to turn our ordinary lives over to you. Thank you father for making our ordinary life into
an extra-ordinary life through Christ our Savior. In Jesus name…AMEN!

Romans 12 The Message

Place Your Life Before God

1-2 So here’s what I want you to do, God helping you: Take your everyday, ordinary life—your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life—and place it before God as an offering. Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for him. Don’t become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God. You’ll be changed from the inside out. Readily recognize what he wants from you, and quickly respond to it. Unlike the culture around you, always dragging you down to its level of immaturity, God brings the best out of you, develops well-formed maturity in you.
3I’m speaking to you out of deep gratitude for all that God has given me, and especially as I have responsibilities in relation to you. Living then, as every one of you does, in pure grace, it’s important that you not misinterpret yourselves as people who are bringing this goodness to God. No, God brings it all to you. The only accurate way to understand ourselves is by what God is and by what he does for us, not by what we are and what we do for him.

4-6In this way we are like the various parts of a human body. Each part gets its meaning from the body as a whole, not the other way around. The body we’re talking about is Christ’s body of chosen people. Each of us finds our meaning and function as a part of his body. But as a chopped-off finger or cut-off toe we wouldn’t amount to much, would we? So since we find ourselves fashioned into all these excellently formed and marvelously functioning parts in Christ’s body, let’s just go ahead and be what we were made to be, without enviously or pridefully comparing ourselves with each other, or trying to be something we aren’t.
