God’s Word – For your name’s sake, O Lord, preserve my life; in your righteousness, bring me out of trouble.
In your unfailing love, silence my enemies; destroy all my foes, for I am your servant. Psalm 143: 11&12

Encouragement Shared: In the midst of our troubles the LORD preserves our lives… The LORD upholds us with his righteous right hand. It is only through the unfailing love of God we can overcome our troubles. And I say this because I have personally experienced this personally. It is only when I trust and believe for the promise of God’s word through his unfailing love that I can overcome the troubles of life. In our humanity we become anxious and through anxiousness we want our troubles to go away. The truth is beloved, if we don’t wait on the Lord and the revealation of his word, we will soon find ourself in the exact same circumstance again, and again. Yes, submit to God resist the enemy [the difficulty] and he/it will flee. James 4:7 When we work to work out or through the issues of life on our own we become broken, burdened even burnt out. Cast ALL doubts trust and believe that in the midst of our troubles the LORD your God will preserve your life. [Psalm 138:7].

Psalm 143

1 O Lord, hear my prayer,
listen to my cry for mercy;
in your faithfulness and righteousness
come to my relief.
2 Do not bring your servant into judgment,
for no one living is righteous before you.

3 The enemy pursues me,
he crushes me to the ground;
he makes me dwell in darkness
like those long dead.
4 So my spirit grows faint within me;
my heart within me is dismayed.

5 I remember the days of long ago;
I meditate on all your works
and consider what your hands have done.
6 I spread out my hands to you;
my soul thirsts for you like a parched land. Selah

7 Answer me quickly, O Lord;
my spirit fails.
Do not hide your face from me
or I will be like those who go down to the pit.
8 Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love,
for I have put my trust in you.
Show me the way I should go,
for to you I lift up my soul.
9 Rescue me from my enemies, O Lord,
for I hide myself in you.
10 Teach me to do your will,
for you are my God;
may your good Spirit
lead me on level ground.

11 For your name’s sake, O Lord, preserve my life;
in your righteousness, bring me out of trouble.
12 In your unfailing love, silence my enemies;
destroy all my foes,
for I am your servant.

God’s Word – “The LORD will keep you from all harm— he will watch over your life; the LORD will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore.” Psalm 121:7-8 NIV

Encouragement Shared: A few years ago I had an accident as I was leaving the parking lot of Wal-mart. I was traveling west toward the exit and a woman in an SUV traveling south west in the lot passed a stop sign and hit me on the passenger side where my daughter was sitting. No one was hurt but the vehicles had damage. The police came took a report and assessed the scene of the accident. The woman saw that I was upset and asked, “Are you okay?” Then she said. “If you trust in God theres nothing to worry about.” The following day as I read my devotion I read Psalm 121, infact during worship at church we sang Psalm 121. A sweet sister in Christ had also counseled me and read Psalm 121.

Days later while speaking to the woman’s insurance adjuster he told me he got the police report and the woman’s statement about the accident said that I passed her and cut her off and that was how she hit me. She lied, I was so surprised that this woman who told me that if I trust in God there was no need to worry. I had to pay for damages on both vehicles; her deductable as well as mine. Lets not forget about the cost of the car rental while my car was in the shop. Looking back God’s word is clear and true regardless of the results of the circumstance. It was a lesson in faith and trusting in God through Christ.

Months later the insurance adjuster called me and stated that after a detailed investigation of the accident there was no possible way that his client was correct about the accident. The adjuster asked for my mailing information because he was sending me a check for the amount that I paid for everything including the car rental. Wow, God is “FAITHFUL”! Beloved, regardless of your circumstance: financial difficulty; job loss; marital problems; the list goes on and on… Have confidence that God keeps us from all harm. The promise of his word “The Bible” states so.

Mercy, peace and love be yours in abundance,

Psalm 121-The Message

1-2 I look up to the mountains; does my strength come from mountains?
No, my strength comes from God,
who made heaven, and earth, and mountains.

3-4 He won’t let you stumble,
your Guardian God won’t fall asleep.
Not on your life! Israel’s
Guardian will never doze or sleep.

5-6 God’s your Guardian,
right at your side to protect you—
Shielding you from sunstroke,
sheltering you from moonstroke.

7-8 God guards you from every evil,
he guards your very life.
He guards you when you leave and when you return,
he guards you now, he guards you always.

God’s Word – He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. Psalm 91:1

Encouragement Shared: God is our refuge and help in times of trouble… Therefore, we will not fear. [Psalm 46] As you step into your day seek refuge through “Christ” the power of the “Holy Spirit” and the power of the living word [The Bible] … In your everyday ordinary life and the challenges that present themselves, know that we have an extra-ordinary God that does extra-ordinary things in and through you. In your ordinary everyday life you have an extra-ordinary God working for you in every circumstance of life that your are currently in. If God is for you beloved, who can be against you? No one … He will never leave you or forsake you.

I share Psalm 91:1 through The Message Version, it really gives us a detailed description of what this verse means in the super natural power of Christ.

Mercy, peace and love be yours in abundance,
Love in Christ,

Psalm 91

   You who sit down in the High God’s presence, spend the night in Shaddai’s shadow,
   Say this: “God, you’re my refuge.
      I trust in you and I’m safe!”
   That’s right—he rescues you from hidden traps,
      shields you from deadly hazards.
   His huge outstretched arms protect you—
      under them you’re perfectly safe;
      his arms fend off all harm.
   Fear nothing—not wild wolves in the night,
      not flying arrows in the day,
   Not disease that prowls through the darkness,
      not disaster that erupts at high noon.
   Even though others succumb all around,
      drop like flies right and left,
      no harm will even graze you.
   You’ll stand untouched, watch it all from a distance,
      watch the wicked turn into corpses.
   Yes, because God’s your refuge,
      the High God your very own home,
   Evil can’t get close to you,
      harm can’t get through the door.
   He ordered his angels
      to guard you wherever you go.
   If you stumble, they’ll catch you;
      their job is to keep you from falling.
   You’ll walk unharmed among lions and snakes,
      and kick young lions and serpents from the path.
