God’s Word -Teach us to number our days aright, that we may gain a heart of wisdom. Psalm 90:12

  • Serenity-Courage-Wisdom …God grant me the Serenity to accept the things I cannot change. Courage to change the things I can and Wisdom to know the difference. Wisdom …wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere. James 3:17

Intentional Faith- I love what the bible states about wisdom; Wisdom is supreme therefore get wisdom. [Proverbs 4] If you read the bible on a consistant basis you will see the benefits of wisdom.  God imparts wisdom to all who seek him through his word.  Yes sisters, wisdom from above is pure; peace loving; considerate, submissive , filled with mercy- fruitful and impartial and sincere.  I know that whenever I am not seeking godly wisdom the results are not very good, not positive, not peace loving or definately not considerate.  The truth is when we are not seeking the wisdom from above we can be ineffective and unproductive.   So my desire and my prayer for today to seek “Intentional Faith” by way of godly wisdom not worldy wisdom.

Verse to Meditate on:

Proverbs 19:8
He who gets wisdom loves his own soul; he who cherishes understanding prospers.

Heavenly Father,

We thank you for your unfailing love through Christ.  Thank you for your word that fills us to overflowing and equips us for every good work you call us to in Christ.  Father I ask for your wisdom to bring us understanding and knowledge so that we may be filled with the attributes of purity; peace; love; consideration; submission not only to you Father but those who are over us and in authority.  My request for your daughters: Through the power of your infallible word, Christ and The Holy Spirit in us teach to number our  days so yes we may gain a heart of wisdom. We thank you for blessing and establishing the works of our hands.  We thank you for the countless victories you bring.  In Jesus name we pray-AMEN!

Mercy, peace and love be yours in abundance,

Love in Christ,

God’s Word – For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11

Intentional Faith Challenge: The Challenge to live a life in Christ is only through his righteousness not ours. The book of Romans reiterates the importance of living by faith. …since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we rejoice in the hope of the glory of God. Romans 5:1-2 Faith and hope in God through Christ never disappoints. Life may prove to have disappointments, hardships, and consequence for our sin. The one true thing that remains is the hope of glory that is the Lord. His love is unfailing, his love is faithful constant and consistent till the end. …Not only so, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us. Romans 5:3-5

Encouragement Shared:
Suffering brings a lot of emotion and pain… but consider what Paul writes in the book of Romans chapter 5 rejoicing in our suffering brings perseverance. It’s hard to believe but if you consider the source[God’s word The Bible] then you can trust that it is true. God is incapable of lying. The book of James states the very same James chapter 1 – James 1:2-8

SIN: Selfish Individual Need:

Whenever I seem to be under the fiery furnace I must consider the source. I can’t always be quick to blame Satan our adversary. I must consider first is this due to a selfish act – SIN: Selfish Individual Need… Honestly if I pray and think long and hard my sufferings are usually due to my selfish individual need to act on my own. When the truth is revealed it is my responsibility to learn through the consequence. In a trial it is just an opportunity to grow so that I may be mature to complete not lacking in anything. That will definitely be a lifelong process for as long as I am here on earth. The encouragement in all this is we have the hope that never disappoints us because God has poured out his love in us. Thanking God for his unfailing love is the best we can do in our time of distress. Read through the Psalms and see the truth of God’s word unfold before you and empower you to do the same as the Psalmist did.

Perseverance-Character-Hope:…these are the attributes that build faith for a mighty God. Regardless where we are today we can rejoice in the living loving God that has poured out his spirit in us.

Heavenly Father…
We thank you for your word that fills us to overflowing. We thank you for the gift of Christ and the power of the Holy Spirit. It is through your promptings that we will seek to pursue those things that will glorify you. Thank you for growing us through our present sufferings that produces: perseverance – character – hope. Thank you for pouring out your love through the power of Christ in us through The Holy Spirit deposited in each of our hearts. Thank you father for the victories you continually bring. In Jesus name we pray…Amen!
Mercy, peace and love be yours in abundance,
In Christ Love,

Verses to meditate on: Psalm 42:5-6a
Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Savior and my God.

For the revelation awaits an appointed time; it speaks of the end and will not prove false. Though it linger, wait for it; it will certainly come and will not delay. Habakkuk 2:3 –

Encouragement Shared:

As I woke up and prepared for my day, I was prompted to read Jesus’s prayer [John 17] on his last night on earth.  The book of John happens to be one of my favorite books and one that I read often.  There are so many battles in our daily life that honestly, sometimes it feels as though I am walking through a mine field [a spiritual mine field].  If I am not in the Spiritual Armor [Ephesians 6] that opens me up to a spiritual beat down leading to depravity, depression defeat from the enemy.

As I settle into my new life in my new beautiful home.  The quietness of the new surroundings allow for me to slow down be still and know the Lord my God and listen for his voice. [Psalm 46:10] I think of all the plans I made in preparation for my move and the truth is; it is His plans that unfolded.  I am thankful for God ordaining every detail and superseding my plans… for His purpose and glory for all to see.  I am also thankful for all the saints that have interceded along with Christ in prayer for me and my family. Thanking God for the family of believers.

Jesus’ Prayer John 17 – The Prayer Provides

  • Revelation from the word for life
  • Protection from God through Christ
  • Wisdom through the word of truth
  • Faith through the word of truth
  • Power in His name
  • Joy in His presence
  • Destruction of Evil from the attacks from Satan
  • Sanctification through the word of truth
  • Unification of The Body of Christ

God Determines Our Steps:

As I prepare for the day… I think about my plans my purpose.  As I have moved, unpacked and become more settled here.  I have come to understand that the Lord’s purpose prevails. In his heart a man plans his course, but the LORD determines his steps.  Proverbs 16:9 – It is of great comfort to know that God truly is in control of everything we do.
