God’s Word – My son, give me your heart and let your eyes keep to my ways, Proverbs 23:26

Proverbs 23 Joy!  He is our “JOY”…

Prayer:

Heavenly Father,
Many, O LORD my God, are the wonders you have done.  The things you planned for us
no one can recount to you; if we were to speak and tell of them, they would be too many to declare. Thank you for your unfailing and faithful love.  We thank you for your gift of salvation through Jesus Christ.  Strengthen us according to your word.  We ask for your forgiveness for our transgressions and sins.  Let us love one another deeply because love covers a multitude of wrongs.  We will forgive others as you have forgiven us. We rejoice in the joy of your presence. The father of a righteous man has great joy; he who has a wise son delights in him. May our father and mother be glad; may our mothers who gave birth to us rejoice! Our desire is to give you our heart and let our eyes keep to your ways…We will keep our eyes on Jesus the author and perfecter of our faith. We thank you for your daily provision that goes beyond just our basic need.  We thank you for your protection over our lives, our husbands and our entire household.  Thank you for the promises of your word that continually brings forth your wisdom that equips for each circumstance of our life.  In Jesus name we pray…Amen!

Mercy, peace and love be yours in abundance,

God’s Word – Humility and the fear of the LORD bring wealth and honor and life.  Proverbs 22:4

Proverbs 22

Prayer: Heavenly Father: You are the Everlasting God!  Your word is faithful and true; It’s ‘Not by might nor by power, but by your Spirit,’ says your Holy Word that you save us. Thank you  Lord, you are Almighty, you change the seasons and the time.  We love you Lord, because of your constant love for us. Thank you for your sacrificial display of love through Christ. May our words be seasoned with salt, pleasing and acceptable.  We will repent quickly, love mercifully and forgive others as your word commands Your daughters desire a good name because it is more desirable than great riches; to be esteemed is better than silver or gold. Thank you Father,  for giving your daughters a good name. Rich and poor have this in common: The LORD is the Maker of them all. We seek you and your counsel in stead of those things that are fleeting.  We will be the prudent daughter that sees danger and takes refuge, we not behave as the simple do, and they keep going and suffer for it. Humility and the fear of the LORD bring wealth and honor and life. We seek to have humble hearts so that we may have spiritual wealth, honor and life.   In the paths of the wicked lie thorns and snares, but he who guards his soul stays far from them.  We will be obedient to your word, your daughters will not walk in the paths of the wicked where thorns and snares are waiting, and we will guard our souls and remain far from them.  We will honor you Father and train our children in the way they should go, and when their old they will not turn from it.  We wait patiently for you, thank you Father, for all your answers to all our prayers. Thank you for supplying all our need according to your glorious riches through Christ.  It is in Jesus name we pray…Amen! Mercy, peace and love be yours in abundance, Love in Christ, Jennifer Pettiford

Things to Consider: • Desire a good name • The rich and poor God made them all • Humility and fear of God brings blessing • Stay away from thorns and snares

God’s Word – The way of the guilty is devious, but the conduct of the innocent is upright Proverbs 21:8

Proverbs 21
Prayer:

Heavenly Father;
You are our strong tower, you hide us in the shadow of your wings.  We rejoice in the joy of your presence.  You Father know each word before we speak, you knit us together in our mothers womb.  May our words be few and your words be many.  We will forgive as you have forgiven us.  May we love deeply and forgive quickly as your word instructs us. May we speak healing words…The words of a gossip are like choice morsels; they go down to a man’s inmost parts. The words of the wicked are, “Lie in wait for blood,” But the mouth of the upright will deliver them. We will watch our words, because wicked words can lead us to ungodly actions like violence.  The violence of the wicked will drag them away, for they refuse to do what is right. We will not refuse to do what is right according to your word. Your word teaches us: The way of the guilty is devious, but the conduct of the innocent is upright. Better to live on a corner of the roof than share a house with a quarrelsome wife.  We will display love through your strength Father through the power of your word.  Knowledge puffs up but love builds up; we will love as your word commands us to do.  We will submit to our husbands as unto to you and not behave like a quarrelsome wife who is like a constant dripping.  We watch our wicked ways: The wicked man craves evil; his neighbor gets no mercy from him.  We will love our neighbor as our self as you command us to do.  A wise person becomes even wiser still when rebuked; when a mocker is punished, the simple gain wisdom; when a wise man is instructed, he gets knowledge. The Righteous One takes note of the house of the wicked and brings the wicked to ruin. We will seek only your righteousness Father; your ways are higher than our ways.  If a man shuts his ears to the cry of the poor, he too will cry out and not be answered.  We will not close our eyes to the poor, we will be faithful to pray for them and help so that you do not shut your ears to our prayers.   A gift given in secret soothes anger, and a bribe concealed in the cloak pacifies great wrath.  We will not give into pride through a bribe; we will do what is righteous through the instruction of your word.  Thank you Father for your word of hope that is a shield to those of us who seek the knowledge and understanding through your Holy Scriptures; your word is a lamp unto our feet and a light onto our path.  We will seek you daily through your word. Thank you for the word that came to life through the birth of Christ.  In Jesus name we Pray…Amen!
