Introduction To Journey - 28 Days to LOVE...

God’s Word Love Excellently…And now I will show you the most excellent way. 1 Corinthians 12:31b

God is love; we love because he first loved us… 1John 4

 Encouragement Shared:
We are commanded to- love one another deeply… Love is an action not an emotion. Emotion leads us to commotion and destruction.   We are going to walk through “28 Days to Love” …according to God’s word.  Perfect love expels fear. [1 John 4:18] Statistically speaking it takes 28 days to remove the toxins from our physical body.  We are going to detox our lives of the bondages that keep the chains of imprisonment bound around our lives and visit the heart issues that keep us from experiencing love from a pure heart. God gives us beauty for ashes; strength for fear; gladness for mourning; peace for despair.   A heart less and less like us and more and more like Jesus.   Let us observe the definitive definition of love through the word of truth.
Love is…Love is kind and patient, never jealous, boastful, proud, or rude. Love isn’t selfish or quick tempered. It doesn’t keep a record of wrongs that others do. Love rejoices in the truth, but not in evil. Love is always supportive [Protects], loyal, hopeful, and trusting.
Love never fails! 1Corinthians 13:4-8 (CEV) Contemporary English Version

An Acronym for Love ~

Love one another…John 15:12
Obey the truth… 1Peter 1:22
Virtue …add to your faith virtue… 2Peter 1:5
Encourage one another daily… Hebrews 3:13

The World View of Love:

The world’s definition of love is misinterpreted, perhaps even skewed if you will.  I share these things to sharpen our swords and to encourage us because of the deceitfulness of sin that plagues us everyday. In the worlds definition there is nothing definitive about love. Love is based on false deceptions; preconceptions of following as the world would say: Follow your heart! Follow my heart, according to the word of God my heart is wicked and deceitful [Jeremiah 17:9] We fall in love, we fall out of love. We fall out of love, perhaps we have been wronged. Even worse perhaps an individual we once loved no longer lives up to our standard of un-definitive definition of what we perceive love to be. More than likely the answer is the latter… Where does that leave our relationships within marriage; parent child relationships; friendships? Un-forgiveness due to brokenness leading to bitterness leaving us in a dis-grace from God. That ultimately separates us from God.

Focus for today: 1 John 3:18
Dear children, let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth.

Prayer:
Father let us not love with empty words but uplifting words in
actions in truth. Your word is truth. Remove from us every
form of bitterness; anger or malaice be removed from us
so that you can prune those bitter roots that defile many.
In Jesus name we pray…Amen!

28 Days to LOVE ~ Day 28 His Divine Love

Love Excellently…

The Love List: Divinely Defined by The Word of God –
Love is kind and patient, never jealous, boastful, proud, or rude.
Love isn’t selfish or quick tempered.
Love-It doesn’t keep a record of wrongs that others do.
Love rejoices in the truth, but not in evil.
Love is always supportive, loyal, hopeful,  and trusting.
    Love never fails!
1 Corinthians 13 Contemporary English Version ~

Love
The definition of love has two components;
1. Love on a human level; Emotion Driven
2. The divine definition defined by God 1 Corinthians 13:4-8

God is Love:

Not to us, O LORD, not to us but to your name be the glory, because of your love and faithfulness-Psalm 115:1 God is Love 1John 4:16 His love is un-failing, un-ending his love is as high as the heavens-
For great is your love, reaching to the heavens; your faithfulness reaches to the skies Psalm 57:10
The world views love as an emotion; However love is greater than just feelings…
For all we need to do is to look to the cross and see how much more there is to this feeling or emotion.
In order for us to feel complete in our lives we need to accept this love.
We need to believe this love that offers us freedom will bring us the greatest love of all the Love of Jesus Christ; We also need to accept this love. Most importantly we must also receive this love in our hearts, trust and believe in Christ in order to know this love and have eternal life.
Sounds so basic but the truth is in our humanity, we have are hard time with this great show of affection.
Even going back to the time Christ walk the earth we saw this with Pharisees: [This is visible as Jesus teaches Nicodemus – John 3:1-22]

Love Remains:
There three things that remain faith, hope and love; but the greatest of these is love…1Corinthians 13:13
The greatest gift is love in order to grow in faith and receive the blessing of this awesome love we need to understand God’s attributes of love.  The definition of love by our standard of understanding is usually based on emotions. When emotions lead us it does not provide a good foundation of self-control in our lives. Emotions  always leads us to commotion and adds strife to our life.
The true test becomes do we believe all that the Lord has said.  In order to receive this love we must be willing to commit; delight and trust in the Lord your God through Christ.  We cannot be angry or bitter and holding on to those bitter roots that create in us rotten fruit; the fruit of rage, malice that leads to the root  of unforgiveness.  These entire things make us incomplete and unproductive for the Kingdom of God.

In order to be free of those chains that keep us imprisoned spiritually, emotionally, physically we must be willing to seek the Lord and for his strength continually…  More importantly: We must be willing and obedient.   When hard times come we must search our hearts along with the scriptures to ask ourselves: Is it a trial or is it a consequence of sin due to a bad decision?   When the truth is revealed are we truly repentant?  Do we find ourselves repentant over the same issues consistently?  The scriptures tell us –
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9

God’s Word

The Priestly Blessing for you –

 ‘“The LORD bless you
   and keep you;
the LORD make his face shine on you
   and be gracious to you;

the LORD turn his face toward you
and give you peace.” Numbers 6:24-26

Encouragement Shared:

The glory of our God is MAJESTIC… Let us rejoice and praise HIS holy name…Yes let the name of the Lord be PRAISED… As I begin this day, it is still dark and the quietness that is night will soon turn to light as the sunrise appears.  There is a lot of promise in the day through the word of hope.  Yes, seek the Lord with all our strength and believe in faith the promise of HIS “Awesome” word as we step in the day.  Sisters let us not love with just words but let us love with purity of heart with action and in truth!  God’s word is truth and he has called us to greatness in his all sustaining strength and grace.  As we prepare ourselves and our families for the day ahead- getting dressed, making lunches and car-pools, deadlines for work projects; school projects- afterschool activities, etc. etc.  let us look to the cross and to the power of the name that saves Jesus, Jesus Jesus… We love you Jesus!

Prayer: Psalm 67

Heavenly Father,

We thank you for your blessing, for shining your light on us…

We thank you for your forgiveness, your love and the beauty of your Holiness… We will sing praise to your name with all our heart, mind and strength… We Love you Lord and to you we commit our lives and this day… Thank you for the gift of Jesus-Who took our pain, our shame and washed us clean by the shedding of his blood on Calvary… May you God be gracious to us and bless us and make your face shine on us—so that your ways may be known on earth, your salvation among all nations. May the peoples praise you, God; may all the peoples praise you. May the nations be glad and sing for joy, you rule the peoples with equity and guide the nations of the earth.
May the peoples praise you, God; may all the peoples praise you. The land yields its harvest; God, our God, blesses us. May you God  our father bless us still, so that all the ends of the earth will fear you Father. Thank you for your many victories you bring before us… Thank you for Jesus in us… In Jesus name we pray…Amen!

Mercy, peace and love be yours in abundance,

Love in Christ,
