God’s Word – “Every word of God is flawless;he is a shield to those who take refuge in him. ” Do not add to his words,  or he will rebuke you and prove you a liar. Proverbs 30:5;6

Encouragement Shared: It is the pride of our hearts that deceives us…  And I know this is true because the Bible says so The pride of your heart has deceived you, you who live in the clefts of the rocks and make your home on the heights, you who say to yourself,
‘Who can bring me down to the ground?’ Though you soar like the eagle
and make your nest among the stars, from there I will bring you down,”
declares the LORD. Obadiah 1:3-4 To fear the Lord is the beginning of knowledge… I will also add to fear the Lord is victory over pride. If we are in the word of God, we can then use the word of God as a mirror to our souls.  If we are memorizing the scriptures; reading the scriptures meditating on the scriptures then we can apply the scriptures to our lives and pray the word of God with boldness.  The bible leads us to a balanced life in Christ.  We must spend quality time with God the Father in his flawless and perfect word in order to gain the wisdom, knowledge and understanding that he has called us to do.  The Proverbs speak about pride and usually pride leads to evil: To fear the LORD is to hate evil; I hate pride and arrogance, evil behavior and perverse speech. Proverbs 8:13 I can share for my very own life, that pride is exactly the evil that lead to many of the mistakes I have made; as a mother; as a friend; as an employee and most definitely the end of my marriage.  It was a despicable me that was full of self-centeredness. I called it the me, myself and I syndrome.  If we find ourselves starting sentences in most conversations; with I think, I feel, I want or I know – it’s source of pride.  Pride is sin; sin is Selfish Individual Need to do or say anything that does not benefit anyone but one’s self. Yes, regardless of our outward behavior toward others, God knows the motives of our heart. [Jeremiah 17] We can deceive ourselves, we can also deceive others but we cannot deceive God. During my marriage, my behavior was evil; my speech was unkind and perverse.  It took the conviction through God’s word to show me this.  And it was through the strength of the Lord, I was able to give my ex-husband a long overdue apology.  Through that act of respect and mercy God the Father has opened new doors for me.  I am thankful for that, I am thankful for his flawless word. May the word of God richly bless you!

Proverbs 30 – Pride Hides behind the enemy’s lies…
Prayer:
Heavenly Father,
Hear our cry, O God; listen to our prayer. From the ends of the earth we call to you, we call as our heart grows faint; lead us to the rock that is higher than us. For you have been our refuge, a strong tower against the foe.  Your daughters long to dwell in your tent forever and take refuge in the shelter of your wings. For you have heard our vows, O God; you have given your daughters the heritage of those who fear your name. Thank you Father for your everlasting love that endures all things.  Thank you for your word of truth that stands firm and will never fade away.  Thank you for the word that became flesh, Jesus Christ that died for us.  We ask for your protection over us and our households.  We ask for wisdom over the words of our mouth, and the meditation of our heart let them be acceptable to you.  You are our rock and redeemer; Thank you for the forgiveness of our wickedness and sins. Let not evil or wickedness turn us away from you and rule over us.

Guide us through your word of truth so that we may see the beauty of your Holiness in you and in your word. We will love our neighbor as our self; we will act justly, love mercy, and walk humbly before you.  We desire to love with actions and truth-your word is truth.  We will love deeply and forgive others that sin against us so that no bitter spring up and defiles many. Your word teaches “The leech has two daughters. ‘Give! Give!’ they cry.  Let us not be like a leech that is draining and stinging.  “There are three things that are never satisfied, four that never say, ‘Enough!’:  the grave, the barren womb, land, which is never satisfied with water, and fire, which never says, ‘Enough!’  Let us meditate on your law; day and night so that we would not sin against you.  “The eye that mocks a father, that scorns obedience to a mother, will be pecked out by the ravens of the valley, will be eaten by the vultures.  We will honor our mother and father so that our days will be long…This is the first commandment with a promise.  We thank you for the wisdom of your word that makes us clean with the power of Christ and the Holy Spirit within us.  We will seek your word daily and in your word we will put our hope. Thank you for the answer to each prayer we put before you. Thank you for the victories you bring as you continue to bless and establish the works of your hands.  In Jesus name we pray…Amen!

Mercy, peace and love be yours in abundance,
Love in Christ,

Things to Consider:
Every word of God is flawless
God is a shield to those who take refuge in him.
 Do not add to his words, or he will rebuke you and prove you a liar.
Do not slander a servant to his master, or he will curse you, and you will pay for it.

God’s Word – If a king judges the poor with fairness, his throne will always be secure.  Proverbs 29:14

Encouragement Shared:

Whenever I hear the words “ justice and mercy” Micah 6:8 comes to mind. He has shown you, O man, what is good; And what does the LORD require of you But to do justly, To love mercy, And to walk humbly with your God? As I bring to remembrance this verse it also brings to mind the fact that I am in need of these very things each and every day. God’s word states it is required of me to do justly, love mercy and walk humbly with God the Father.  How many times have I found myself not displaying these very characteristics that are required of me.  It is just human nature, sin of the flesh to prejudge circumstances.  How often we have done such an awful thing as prejudge, prequalify or predetermine  where someone is at without investing in the individual, yet when that very same behavior is done to us it simply unfair and unnecessary. The truth is without the power of the “Holy Spirit” in us we cannot administer the requirement of God’s word to do justly, love mercy and walk humbly with God.  It is through the saving power of salvation through our Lord Jesus we can do any good thing.  [John 15] It is only through the power of the “Holy Spirit” that revelation occurs. The book of Habakkuk states; For the revelation awaits an appointed time;
it speaks of the end and will not prove false. though it linger, wait for it; it will certainly come and will not delay. “See, he is puffed up;
his desires are not upright— but the righteous will live by his faith – Habakkuk 2:3-4 It’s the root of “pride” – puffed up behavior… that keeps us from acting in love, justice, mercy and humility.  It keeps us from acting on the call faith in our life and creates strife. We have to ask ourselves where the transformation through the gift of salvation. This is not just an Old Testament verse; the writer of Hebrews also encourages us to persevere in godly confidence through faith because in doing so we will be richly rewarded when we act in faith not in flesh.  [Hebrews 10] So as we continue to move forward let us act in faith through the leading of the “Holy Spirit” deposited in us to do justly, love mercy and walk humbly before God in his gracious love through Christ Jesus.

Proverbs 28 Justice; May Justice and Mercy follow us all the days of our life.

Prayer:
Heavenly Father,
How majestic is your name on all the earth!  We are in awe of all of your works.  You change the seasons and the time, you direct the king’s heart as a water course.  We love you Lord, we love you because you first loved us. Let the afflicted hear and rejoice in your revelations you give to illuminate their lives as they seek your word and put their trust in your word.  Thank you for your forgiveness of our transgressions and sins.  Let us love one another deeply because love covers a multitude of sins. Thank you for forgiving our sins. We will forgive Father as you have forgiven us.  We will seek to be willing and obedient, repent quickly and turn from our wicked ways.  We will act justly, love mercy, and walk humbly before you.  Your word states; If a king judges the poor with fairness, his throne will always be secure. We thank you for directing the king’s heart in justice and mercy.  We will implement the rod of correction because it imparts wisdom, so that our children will not be left to their self and disgrace their mother.  Father let not the wicked thrive, because where there is wickedness there is sin, Let your righteous see their downfall.  We will follow your command and discipline our children, and they will give us peace; they will bring delight to our soul. Where there is no revelation, the people cast off restraint; but blessed is he who keeps the law. Father we will seek your guidance through your word of truth, so that law and order will not disappear and we will see your blessing for obedience.  A servant cannot be corrected by mere words; though he understands, he will not respond. Your daughters will not make light of your discipline Lord, and we will not lose heart when you rebuke us, because you Lord discipline those you love, and you punish everyone you accept as a son and daughter.  We will not speak in haste; when we do so then, there is more hope for a fool than for one that speaks hastily.  Let the words of our mouth and the meditation of our heart be acceptable in your sight, you are our rock and our redeemer.  We thank you for the word you sow in our hearts so that we would not sin against you. Thank you for your protection and our daily provision you provide in abundance.  Thank you for the power of the Holy Spirit and Christ in us.  It is in Jesus Precious name we pray…Amen!

Mercy, peace and love be yours in abundance,

Things to Consider:
The rod of correction imparts wisdom
… when the wicked thrive, so does sin
Discipline your son, and he will give you peace;
… where there is no revelation, the people cast off restraint
A servant cannot be corrected by mere words

God’s Word – Blessed is the man who always fears the LORD, but he who hardens his heart falls into trouble. Proverbs 28:14

Proverbs 28 Blessings for those who always fears the LORD…

Prayer:

Heavenly Father,

Your daughter will praise you, LORD! You saved your daughters from the grave and kept our enemies from celebrating our death.  We prayed to you, LORD our God, and you healed us, saving us from death and the grave. Your faithful people, LORD, will praise you with songs of rememberance and honor your holy name. Your anger lasts a moment, but your favor lasts for a lifetime. Weeping may last for a night but joy comes in the morning.  We thank you for your word of truth that you continually engrave on our hearts. We thank you for hearing our cries for help and you saved us from all our troubles.  Thank you for the gift of salvation through Christ.  May we do what is required of us to do act justly, love mercy and walk humbly before you Lord.  Your Word instructs us a tyrannical ruler lacks judgment, but whoever hates ill-gotten gain will enjoy a long life.  Your righteous people hate ill-gotten gain. We will not work with dishonest weights and measures.   A man tormented by the guilt of murder will be a fugitive till death; let no one support him.  We will not support a murderer that is a fugitive on the run.  The righteous whose walk is blameless is kept safe, but he whose ways are perverse will suddenly fall.  Please keep us safe and from seeking ways that are perverse.  We will work in diligence, your word teaches: He who works his land will have abundant food, but the one who chases fantasies will have his fill of poverty.  A faithful man will be richly blessed, but one eager to get rich will not go unpunished. We will seek you and seek for your strength in all that we do!  We thank you for the truths that give us the freedom in Christ to abide in you, because without you Lord we can do no good thing.  We thank you for the answers to our prayers, and guiding our hearts and minds by the power of your love and the Holy Spirit in us.  It is in Jesus name we pray…Amen!
