God’s Word- Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful. Colossians 3:15

Encouragement Shared:
Let the peace of God rule sisters!  There is a peace that is beyond all understanding that only comes from the power of Christ in us with the counsel of the Holy Spirit directing us.  Therefore we do not become weary or lose heart.  We do not become fearful in times of trouble.  Instead we look to word of God that sustains, strengthens through the Almighty’s all sufficient grace.  Yes sisters may I remind you that his grace is sufficient that in are weakness he strengthens us.  Peace is not the absence of difficulties; tragedies; or pain.  Peace is resting leaning on the everlasting all sufficient God and Savior Jesus Christ!  – Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. John 14:27   The peace according to the world’s perspective is about power, prestige, pride and possessions.  The biblical perspective of peace comes from recognizing that God is in control even when the earth gives way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, even when the waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging.  God is within you daughters of the King, we will not fail. [Psalm 46] I close with this one last thought sisters;   In the midst of our troubles he preserves our life. Psalm 138:7  “To God belong wisdom and power; counsel and understanding are his.  What he tears down cannot be rebuilt; the man he imprisons cannot be released. If he holds back the waters, there is drought; if he lets them loose, they devastate the land. To him belong strength and victory; both deceived and deceiver are his. Job 12:13-14  Trust and believe sisters if God is for you who can be against you? Fear not he has called you by name; we belong to him. [Isaiah 43]

Prayer:
 Heavenly Father,
How excellent is your name before all the earth, the mountains bow down before you, oceans cry out to you… We rejoice at the victories you bring your daughters.  Thank you for your redeeming grace.  Thank you for the gift of Jesus.  Your daughters seek to live as obedient children; to judge, justly, love mercy, to walk humbly before you and forgive others as you have forgiven us.  We will live in perfect peace because we will keep our minds steadfastly on you.  Let us follow the command and allow the peace of Christ rule in our hearts, since we are members of one body we are called to peace. And to be thankful in all things at all times.  In Jesus name we pray…Amen!
Mercy, peace and love be yours in abundance,

God’s Word –’Be holy because I, the LORD your God, am holy.” Leviticus 19:2

Encouragement Shared:   First thing when I woke up, my thoughts went to God’s word; “Be Holy because I, am holy. Peter quoted this from Leviticus 19:2 the old testament scriptures in 1 Peter Chapter 1 where he is encouraging us to “Be Holy” – He is a Holy God and we need to reverence Him in all things.
Put to Death Old Self and Put on Love:
We need to put to death our ways of thinking, trust in the Lord with all our heart and not lean on our own understanding. [Proverbs 3:4; 5]  As I began to prepare for my day, I could not help to think how hard it is to be loving when someone has wrong you; or to show compassion to the emotional person when they continually treat us in an impatient manor because their going through a rough time perhaps just in a bad mood.  The most difficult characteristics for me to forgive are controlling people.  I seriously need to pray and fast over my heart so that I can be clothed with compassion, kindness, humility lots and lots of it.  I only have the ability to do any good thing; through the power of Christ.  My sisters I know that this is not easy-but Jesus himself says; For if you forgive men when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins. [Matthew 6] The root of un-forgiveness is anger, Jesus warns us in the Sermon on the Mount- [Matthew Chapter 5] regarding anger  before we offer any sacrifice to the Lord go and be reconciled to our brother [sister].  Not displaying forgiveness is anger and anger is Danger without the “D”.  Yes so we must truly rely on Christ on all these matters let go those emotions that keep us imprisoned within our self; especially in our marriages, the work place and our relationships with others.  It is only through Christ we bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity. My beautiful sisters just know that to forgive is “Freedom” , so ponder these things as you go through the day today. Peace be with you!
Prayer:
Heavenly Father,
We thank you for the gift of Christ, that shed his blood on Calvary for all our transgressions and sins.  Your daughters will seek the truth of your word to forgive and we will bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances we may have against one another. Forgive as you Lord forgave us. Your daughters will put to death our old way of thinking and put on love so we may live in perfect unity. We thank you for bringing us from strength to strength – glory to glory through the power of Christ in us.  It is in Jesus name we pray…Amen!

God’s Word – Show me your ways, O LORD, teach me your paths; guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long. Psalm 25:4-5

Encouragement Shared:
I do love the way Colossians Chapter 3 reads in the New Living Translation; the direct instruction gives us the basics of what is required for us to do.  Out side of the help of Christ these directives are difficult and burdensome for us.  With the power of the word The Bible; Christ in us we can do all things through him [Christ] who strengthens us. [Philippians 4:13]

Scripture:

Since God chose you to be the holy people he loves, you must clothe yourselves with tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience.  Make allowance for each other’s faults, and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others. Above all, clothe yourselves with love, which binds us all together in perfect harmony. And let the peace that comes from Christ rule in your hearts. For as members of one body you are called to live in peace. And always be thankful. Colossians Chapter 3:12-15 NLT

The word of God exhorts us in a very simple way, He has showed us, daughters of the King, what is good. And what does the LORD require of us?  To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with our God. [Micah 6:8 ]  These basic directives are concise and consistent through out the word of God.  Our reaction during the most difficult circumstance displays our faith and the maturity of our faith.  This is also reiterated in 1 Thessalonians Chapter  5-Final Instructions; particularly verses 5:16—18  Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.  I am teaching this to the children at Children’s Church and as I am teaching them what the word of God says, it is constantly reminding me of these very important points; be joyful, pray continually give thanks in all things- this is God will for me and for all in Christ.  Keep in mind with man this is impossible but with God all things are possible. The one who calls you is faithful and he will do it.

Prayer:
Heavenly Father,
We thank you for your love and faithfulness; we thank you for the gift of Christ that is the word that came to life.  Let us pray, apply and meditate on the word of God daily so that we can increase in faith.  As God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, your daughters will clothe them-selves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.  Through your strength Father we will bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances we may have against one another. Forgive as you Lord forgave us. And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.  Thank you for showing us your ways, teaching us your paths guide us in your truth and teach us, for you are God our Savior, and our hope is in you all day long.  In Jesus name we pray…Amen!
