God’s Word – And everyone who calls on the name of the LORD will be saved; for on Mount Zion and in Jerusalem there will be deliverance, as the LORD has said, among the survivors whom the LORD calls. Joel 2:32

Encouragement Shared:

As I read Joel 2:32 And everyone who calls on the name of the LORD will be saved…  I am reminded of time when I was on dialysis while living in The Bronx, God definitely had a divine plan for me.  Instead of watching television I would listen to my audio bible and read along.  I was on the second shift for dialysis 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM there was an orthodox Jewish gentle man Mr. Edelman, he sat a few chairs from me.  He was an older gentleman, very thin and fragile looking like most people on dialysis look.  Each morning he would shuffle in extremely late… and as he was being put on the dialysis machine, the nurses would inform him every morning about the importance of getting his full dialysis.  His response would be but I must first read the Torah.  He was a cute little man, and all of the nurses were Christians, so Nurse Lucinda would say, God would not want you to miss your dialysis Mr. Edelman.   When all the commotion would simmer down,  he would ask me each morning; “So young lady, what are you reading today?”  And I would tell him and share.  If I was reading out of the New Testament he was very curious.  He would always say we must believe … Then I would say we must believe in Christ, and have “Faith”.  We would have that very same conversation every time.  I am reminded of Mr. Edelman because Joel 2:32 shares the very same thing as Paul writes in Romans: For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile—the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him, for, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”  How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? Romans 10:12-14 more…

God’s Word - The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.  John 10:10

 Pride Is A Thief…

Pride Divides and keeps us from the truth through the word of God that sets us free.

It cheats us of God’s devine plan for our lives…Why? We demand having our way…

It robs us of our joy…Why? Because we deserve better than this…

It robs us of knowledge…Why? We already know it all…

It keeps us from being healed…Why? We are to filled with pride to forgive…

It keeps us from the holiness gifted to us by the blood…Why? We refuse to admit we are wrong…

It steals genuine friendships/relationships…Why? We are not willing to be transparent…

Hold fast and true to his Perfect and Flawless word and watch the fruit grow in your life…
The fruit of the Spirit is Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness and Self-control…
Seek the LORD and his strength and keep seeking…Psalm 105:4 …
Mercy, peace and love be yours in abundance,

God’s Promise

And when the Chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the crown of glory that will never fade away. Young men (women), in the same way be submissive to those who are older. All of you, clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, because, ”God opposes the proud  but gives grace to the humble.” Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. 1 Peter 5:4-6

Encouragement Shared:

I share these things not because you do not know or believe but to make your joy complete. We write this to make our joy complete. 1 John 1:4 Joy completes us! The Lord has been speaking to my heart about Pride and Arrogance; I am always faithful to share as “The Holy Spirit” prompts me to.

God Hates Pride and Arrogance:

Pride and Arrogance are a couple of those sneaky characteristics that we generally believe that could not possibly be in the heart of a Christian. Unfortunately that is not true, I know this because his word make mention of this.  Jeremiah the prophet spoke these words: The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Who can understand it? ”I the LORD search the heart and examine the mind, to reward a man according to his conduct, according to what his deeds deserve.”  Jeremiah 17:9-11 The Proverbs 8:13 states, I hate pride and arrogance.  I have been meditating and seeking how this applys to my very own life.  It has opened up new doors to those characteristics that need to be placed on the foot of the cross and left there.  It also inspired me to write on this topic specifically because it is one of those sins that sneaks it’s way into the life of a Christian creating a platform of destruction.  It is not like those obvious strong holds such as addiction, sexual sin, unforgiveness, bitterness, unbelief etc…etc… more…
