God’s Word – The teaching of the wise is a fountain of life, turning a man from the snares of death. Proverbs 13:14
Proverbs 13 – Favor and Honor Come Through Wisdom…

Heavenly Father,
You are a Mighty God, you name is excellent!  The mountains will bow down before you; the seas will cry out to you!  Your daughters will seek to dwell in the shelter of you the Most High we will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.  We will say of you LORD, “The Lord is our refuge and our fortress, our God, in whom we trust.” Surely you will save us and those we intercede for in prayer from the fowler’s snare and from the deadly pestilence.  You Lord will cover us with you feathers, and under your wings your people will find refuge; your faithfulness will be our shield and rampart.  Your children; your righteous ones will not fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day, nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness, nor the plague that destroys at midday. Thank you for faithful love; your mercy; your grace and forgiveness of our sins.  We will forgive as you have forgiven us.  Protect us from the fowler’s snare; keep us from temptation… According to your word the teaching of the wise is a fountain of life, turning us from the snares of death.  We will seek godly counsel from the wisdom of your word so that we will have life. Your daughters hold to the promise; good understanding wins favor, but the way of the unfaithful is hard. Your daughters will be like the prudent woman, she acts out of knowledge, but a foolish woman exposes her folly. A wicked messenger falls into trouble, but a trustworthy envoy brings healing. Your daughters seek to be trustworthy servant who brings healing with good words.  Your daughters will not ignore discipline that brings poverty and shame, we will heed correction so it will bring honor. Thank you for your love through your word of truth that comes through every word of Christ.  Thank you for giving us Christ to intercede for us.  Strengthen us to live according to your word so that we would not sin against.  Strengthen those families waiting to hear from their families in Haiti.  Give them a peace beyond understanding; your word states you give strength to your people; you LORD bless your people with peace. Strengthen those in the Haitian community waiting to hear about their families; Strengthen the families waiting to hear from their loved ones serving in missions in Haiti…Thank you Father for the advance answer to our prayers.  In Jesus name we pray…Amen!

Mercy, peace and love be yours in abundance,
Love in Christ,

God’s Word: Hear my voice when I call, Lord;be merciful to me and answer me. Psalm 27:7

Bless The LORD O’ My Soul … Lift Up His Holy Name…

Encouragement Shared:
I attended the premiere for the movie War Room …
And I came home inspired;
It impressed upon my heart, that our prayer life must be
a priority. That spending each day in God’s word is necessary
it stand firm for the good fight for the faith.
It brought me back to the time when I was a baby
Christian; I would write down every prayer … prayer request;
I would write down every scripture; The Lord brought me to
during my devotions; I have note books filled with prayers;
prayer request; and prayers lead by the Lord; even those
prayers from the scriptures that were place on my heart, for
me, and sometimes for me to share with others. The beauty
about that is … My prayer always has been to be that godly woman
that always has a timely word. [Proverbs 15:13]

It was journal writing and sending personal encouragements to people via email, cards and letters that started my ministry of blogging six years ago.
My prayer is that whom ever reads my blog be inspired to seek the Lord and seek his word for a full life with Christ, growing in wisdom, knowledge and understanding to know God’s perfect will for our journey of faith.

A person finds joy in giving an apt reply— and how good is a timely word! Proverbs 15:13

As I prepared for bed Psalm 103 is a song my church worship team sings and it was a
song in my head and my heart last night. It inspired me to share today.

Bless the LORD O’My Soul … Bless His Holy Name, Sing like never before O’My Soul … Bless His Holy Name.

PSALM 103

Bless the Lord, O my soul;
And all that is within me, bless His holy name!
2
Bless the Lord, O my soul,
And forget not all His benefits:
3
Who forgives all your iniquities,
Who heals all your diseases,
4
Who redeems your life from destruction,
Who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies,
5
Who satisfies your mouth with good things,
So that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.
6
The Lord executes righteousness
And justice for all who are oppressed.
7
He made known His ways to Moses,
His acts to the children of Israel.
8
The Lord is merciful and gracious,
Slow to anger, and abounding in mercy.
9
He will not always strive with us,
Nor will He keep His anger forever.
10
He has not dealt with us according to our sins,
Nor punished us according to our iniquities.
11
For as the heavens are high above the earth,
So great is His mercy toward those who fear Him;
12
As far as the east is from the west,
So far has He removed our transgressions from us.
13
As a father pities his children,
So the Lord pities those who fear Him.
14
For He knows our frame;
He remembers that we are dust.

God’s Word – For these commands are a lamp, this teaching is a light, and the corrections of discipline are the way to life, Proverbs 6:23

Proverbs 6 – Prayer to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives

Prayer:
Heavenly Father,
How majestic is your name on all the earth!
We will exalt you, our God the King; Your daughters will praise your name for ever and ever. Every day we will praise you and extol your name for ever and ever. Great is what you are LORD and most worthy of praise; your greatness no one can fathom. One generation will commend your works to another; they will tell of your mighty acts. Yes, they will speak of the glorious splendor of your majesty, and we will meditate on your wonderful works. Thank you for your everlasting love and faithfulness. Thank you for your word that is living and active and discerns the attitudes of our heart…Thank you for your gift of love that is the Christ! Thank you for your protection over our lives. Please place a guard over the door of our lips. Let us show love toward one another, and forgiving as you have forgiven us for our sins. Your word teaches to number our days so we may gain a heart of wisdom. A scoundrel and villain, who goes about with a corrupt mouth, who winks with his eye, signals with his feet and motions with his fingers, who plots evil with deceit in his heart— he always stirs up dissension. We will live like obedient children; “For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to us. It teaches us to say “No” to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age,”- For the scoundrel and the villain, disaster will overtake him in an instant; he will suddenly be destroyed—without remedy. Your daughters will seek to do your will Father. Your word instructs us that there are six things you LORD hate, seven that are detestable to you: haughty eyes, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked schemes, feet that are quick to rush into evil, a false witness who pours out lies and a man who stirs up dissension among brothers and sisters. Your daughters will take note on those mentioned items you hate and are detestable to you. We will seek to live a life of integrity because we are your daughters. We also know that fear of you Lord is the beginning of wisdom and knowledge and brings us favor. Thank you Father for your word of truth, you daughters will hide your word in their heart so that we might not sin against you. Thank you for our daily bread and filling us to overflowing in Jesus name we pray…Amen!

Mercy, peace and love be yours in abundance,
Love in Christ,

Proverbs 6

6 My son, if you have put up security for your neighbor,
if you have shaken hands in pledge for a stranger,
2 you have been trapped by what you said,
ensnared by the words of your mouth.
3 So do this, my son, to free yourself,
since you have fallen into your neighbor’s hands:
Go—to the point of exhaustion—[a]
and give your neighbor no rest!
4 Allow no sleep to your eyes,
no slumber to your eyelids.
5 Free yourself, like a gazelle from the hand of the hunter,
like a bird from the snare of the fowler.
6 Go to the ant, you sluggard;
consider its ways and be wise!
7 It has no commander,
no overseer or ruler,
8 yet it stores its provisions in summer
and gathers its food at harvest.
9 How long will you lie there, you sluggard?
When will you get up from your sleep?
10 A little sleep, a little slumber,
a little folding of the hands to rest—
11 and poverty will come on you like a thief
and scarcity like an armed man.
12 A troublemaker and a villain,
who goes about with a corrupt mouth,
13 who winks maliciously with his eye,
signals with his feet
and motions with his fingers,
14 who plots evil with deceit in his heart—
he always stirs up conflict.
15 Therefore disaster will overtake him in an instant;
he will suddenly be destroyed—without remedy.
16 There are six things the LORD hates,
seven that are detestable to him:
17 haughty eyes,
a lying tongue,
hands that shed innocent blood,
18 a heart that devises wicked schemes,
feet that are quick to rush into evil,
19 a false witness who pours out lies
and a person who stirs up conflict in the community.
Warning Against Adultery
20 My son, keep your father’s command
and do not forsake your mother’s teaching.
21 Bind them always on your heart;
fasten them around your neck.
22 When you walk, they will guide you;
when you sleep, they will watch over you;
when you awake, they will speak to you.
23 For this command is a lamp,
this teaching is a light,
and correction and instruction
are the way to life,
24 keeping you from your neighbor’s wife,
from the smooth talk of a wayward woman.
25 Do not lust in your heart after her beauty
or let her captivate you with her eyes.
26 For a prostitute can be had for a loaf of bread,
but another man’s wife preys on your very life.
27 Can a man scoop fire into his lap
without his clothes being burned?
28 Can a man walk on hot coals
without his feet being scorched?
29 So is he who sleeps with another man’s wife;
no one who touches her will go unpunished.
30 People do not despise a thief if he steals
to satisfy his hunger when he is starving.
31 Yet if he is caught, he must pay sevenfold,
though it costs him all the wealth of his house.
32 But a man who commits adultery has no sense;
whoever does so destroys himself.
33 Blows and disgrace are his lot,
and his shame will never be wiped away.
34 For jealousy arouses a husband’s fury,
and he will show no mercy when he takes revenge.
35 He will not accept any compensation;
he will refuse a bribe, however great it is.
