The Promise:
Is anything impossible for the LORD? At the appointed time I will come back to you, and in about a year she will have a son.” Genesis 18:14

“But My covenant I will establish with Isaac, whom Sarah will bear to you at this season next year.”Genesis 17:21

Genesis 18
Sarah Laughs at the Promise
…13And the LORD said to Abraham, “Why did Sarah laugh, saying, ‘Shall I indeed bear a child, when I am so old?’ 14“Is anything too difficult for the LORD? At the appointed time I will return to you, at this time next year, and Sarah will have a son.”15Sarah denied it however, saying, “I did not laugh”; for she was afraid. And He said, “No, but you did laugh.”…
Wisdom Shared: In our greatest time of need in our distresses, in our sorrows we become disillusioned about tomorrow.  We lose sight on the promise because it has not occurred in our timing.  But remember Beloved, Nothing is impossible for the Lord.  And God;s timing is always perfect.  For the beauty of the word inspires to wait patiently for the Lord.  Trust, commit, and delight in Him and he will fulfill the desires of your heart.  Write his word on the tablet of your heart … pray with complete confidence that what you are asking will be done according to God’s will and purpose. Because as the word states; this is impossible with man; but with God all things are possible. Matthew 19:26

God’s Word: No, O people, the LORD has told you what is good, and this is what he requires of you: to do what is right, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God. Micah 6:8

Cynical and Critical God Did Not Call Me to…
Encouragement Shared:
I remember early in my journey of faith, being critical and cynical were attributes God was going to work out of me. Here’s the BUT … I needed to be submissive, I also needed to be willing to seek to be obedient to Him. So often I found myself looking down at people, withdrawing from people and using my reckless words to pierce. The ironic part that now I find those behaviors unloving, hurtful , not Christ like at all. When they are directed towards me I withdraw and pray for those people to trust and put their hope in him [God the Father]. After all we are all a work in process … there are lessons to be learned and growing to be done. It is in our most difficult seasons that the word of God equips and empowers us to strive for God’s best for our lives. And it the hard part is allowing God to do the good work in us.

Submissive attitude is revered…
Yes beloved, we can learn, we can grow, we can evolve to the person God the Father has called us to be. So being a critic of someone else’s life is not going to fly. Showing love, showing grace is the excellence we are called to. Not “Perfection” but “Excellence”… God has called us to do every good work he has divinely appointed us to.
Willingness to seek to be obedient God blesses us to do. He has shown us what to do …Micah 6:8 There are sadly many in the body of believers that continue to behave in this cynical and critical ways and how can we say we love the Lord if we are not loving or empathetic toward others. How can we say we love the Lord and not do the least that is required of us to do; To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God. Micah 6:8 I have let go of some friendships because of these two character traits; The Cynical Critic, little do they realize that their righteousness is destructive and unloving. They view it as truth, when it’s ruthless demolition of others.

My Prayer: Show me your ways Father through your truth. Psalm 25

James 3
Controlling the Tongue

3 Dear brothers and sisters, not many of you should become teachers in the church, for we who teach will be judged more strictly. 2 Indeed, we all make many mistakes. For if we could control our tongues, we would be perfect and could also control ourselves in every other way.
3 We can make a large horse go wherever we want by means of a small bit in its mouth. 4 And a small rudder makes a huge ship turn wherever the pilot chooses to go, even though the winds are strong. 5 In the same way, the tongue is a small thing that makes grand speeches.
But a tiny spark can set a great forest on fire. 6 And the tongue is a flame of fire. It is a whole world of wickedness, corrupting your entire body. It can set your whole life on fire, for it is set on fire by hell itself.
7 People can tame all kinds of animals, birds, reptiles, and fish, 8 but no one can tame the tongue. It is restless and evil, full of deadly poison. 9 Sometimes it praises our Lord and Father, and sometimes it curses those who have been made in the image of God. 10 And so blessing and cursing come pouring out of the same mouth. Surely, my brothers and sisters, this is not right! 11 Does a spring of water bubble out with both fresh water and bitter water? 12 Does a fig tree produce olives, or a grapevine produce figs? No, and you can’t draw fresh water from a salty spring.

God’s Word: Now that you have purified yourselves by obeying the truth so that you have sincere love for each other, love one another deeply, from the heart.

Encouragement Shared: Love one another deeply love does no harm … It is a fact that God is love … then I ask: Why is it so hard to love deeply? As a body we must live our lives in obedience and no longer conform to the life styles that are not holy … Notice I did not say perfect… I said holy. The word states without holiness no one will see the Lord. We can no long blame the ignorance we once had before we knew the word of truth. Yet, for some it is still so difficult to love one another from a pure heart and a good conscious. I share this because we so often say we love people but don’t follow through on the love part. Then there are some of us who don’t like people at all but yet they profess that they are saved, they are children of the living God.

Set Our Mind on Things Above:
We can’t be so heavenly minded that we are of no earthy good. In other words if you find yourself amongst the body constantly… If you do not have friendships outside the body of Christ how can we be earthly good? If we are so heavenly focused then how can we be salt and light. We cannot choose to be loving, show grace exclusively to whomever we choose. We are commanded to love one another deeply. We are not called to judge one another in the journey of faith and think that it is okay. It is not love. These are lessons in the word of God that we are called to do, Love one another deeply.

Prayer:
Father help me to see the beauty of your word through your loving kindnesses you so loving pour out … Help me to be of sober mind and judgment of where I am at in my faith… Help me to love deeply from a pure heart and a clear conscious. In Jesus Name…AMEN!

1Peter 1 ~ Be Holy

13 Therefore, with minds that are alert and fully sober, set your hope on the grace to be brought to you when Jesus Christ is revealed at his coming. 14 As obedient children, do not conform to the evil desires you had when you lived in ignorance. 15 But just as he who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do; 16 for it is written: “Be holy, because I am holy.”[a]

17 Since you call on a Father who judges each person’s work impartially, live out your time as foreigners here in reverent fear. 18 For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life handed down to you from your ancestors, 19 but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect. 20 He was chosen before the creation of the world, but was revealed in these last times for your sake. 21 Through him you believe in God, who raised him from the dead and glorified him, and so your faith and hope are in God.

22 Now that you have purified yourselves by obeying the truth so that you have sincere love for each other, love one another deeply, from the heart.[b] 23 For you have been born again, not of perishable seed, but of imperishable, through the living and enduring word of God. 24 For,

“All people are like grass,
and all their glory is like the flowers of the field;
the grass withers and the flowers fall,
25 but the word of the Lord endures forever.”[c]

And this is the word that was preached to you.

Galatians 6:6-10 Doing Good to All
6 Brothers and sisters, if someone is caught in a sin, you who live by the Spirit should restore that person gently. But watch yourselves, or you also may be tempted. 2 Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ. 3 If anyone thinks they are something when they are not, they deceive themselves. 4 Each one should test their own actions. Then they can take pride in themselves alone, without comparing themselves to someone else, 5 for each one should carry their own load. 6 Nevertheless, the one who receives instruction in the word should share all good things with their instructor.
7 Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. 8 Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life. 9 Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. 10 Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.
