God’s Word – He who pursues righteousness and love finds life, prosperity and honor. Proverbs 21:21

Encouragement Shared: As I read Proverbs 21:21 it reminds me of my failed marriage.  The truth is when we look at divorce we must be honest and not say failed marriage.  The truth is for me I failed the marriage.  It was my selfish need to have my way.   My love was not sacrificial, my love was not respectful, my love wanted it’s own way…  Looking back at my relationship I see very clearly my love was not about love at all.  It was about pride and demanding my own way.   The word of God gives us a godly view of what love is; [1 Corinthians 13].  My sisters as you go through your day, pursue righteousness and love it will bring you life, prosperity and honor.  Guard your heart because it is the well spring of life.  My encouragement for today; LOVE your husbands as God has loved you…sacrificially.  Sisters-Consider him who endured such opposition from sinful men, so that we will not grow weary and lose heart.  In our struggle against sin, we have not yet resisted to the point of shedding our blood… Hebrews 12:3-4

Jesus shed blood for us and he died on a cross for us on the third day he rose again.  It is through his death, burial and resurrection we have the power of Christ in us when we acknowledge that Jesus is Lord- He is the way, the truth and the life. [John 14:6]. Yes we can do all things through Christ who gives us strength! [Philippians 4:13] Including loving our husbands, flaws and all.

Proverbs 21 Righteousness and Love

Heavenly Father:
You are a marvelous and gracious God!  Your compassion’s they fail not, great is your faithfulness; your mercy endures all things.  You do not treat us as our sins deserve.  We thank you for the written word that you continually write on the tablet on our hearts so that by them we may live and not die.  Thank you for the forgiveness of our sins, we will display mercy and forgiveness toward those who would sin against us.  We know Father the king’s heart is in the hand of the LORD; He directs it like a watercourse wherever he pleases. Father we know you are in control of every good thing and every bad thing may we lean on you for all that we do in all circumstances. .A wise man attacks the city of the mighty and pulls down the stronghold in which they trust. Thank you for filling us with your wisdom that creates in us strength through the power of Christ in us.  Your daughters will guard her mouth and her tongue so that we will keep our self from calamity. Your word instructs us that the proud and arrogant man-”Mocker” is his name; they behave with overweening pride.  Your word states you hate pride and arrogance and perverse talk from the lips.  We will guard our heart because it is the wellspring of life.   We will watch our words.  May the words of our mouth and the meditation of our hearts be acceptable, you are our rock and our redeemer.  Thank you for the all your words that are perfect and flawless. Thank you for your unfailing love that endures all things.  Thank you for the gift of salvation through Christ.  We will commit, submit, and delight in you.  In Jesus name we pray…Amen!

Mercy, peace and love be yours in abundance,

God’s Word on Friendship… there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother. Proverbs 18:24

Encouragement Shared:  The bible states- A friend loves at all times. Proverbs 17:17  It’s one of those verses that I have sitting on my dresser so that each time I stand before the mirror as I get ready for the day it is visible to me.  The verse is written on my heart and at the top of my mind.  It’s one that we all need to practice each day.  Sisters, we need to love one another deeply because love covers a multitude of sins.[1Peter 4:7]   I am the only child born to my mother Martha Clark, and when I was growing up in New York City, being an only child was a rarity.  The first perception of an only child, they are a lonely child.  The next perception of an only child, they are spoiled-selfish and manipulative.  Well the truth is we can all be that way regardless of our backgrounds or size of our families.  I recognized at an early age that friendship is important and of great value.  Growing under God’s grace and love the bible instructs us that we must be clothed in love.   Yes, sisters it always comes back to how do we love?  Do we love with a pure heart? Do withhold good from those who deserve it?  Do we dishonor others? Do we keep records of wrongs?  I know for myself there are many areas of love that God is pruning in me.  There are issues of pride and impatience that gets in the way.  It creates anger, resentments and dis-fellowship among the body of Christ.  Before we realize the friendship dissipates into nothingness and it becomes
a polite hello, a courteous exchange of words, or sometimes just a nod or a wave.  Yes, there are times that we are in a person’s life for just a short season for God’s purposes and reason.  Then there is a friend who sticks close than a brother. My encouragmente is that you go love on those special friends today…Via phone call, email or a note in a card do it in the name of love through Christ!  My prayer is that I [we] can discern those seasons of friendships and put on love.

Prayer for Friendship:

Heavenly Father,
You are love, we love because you first loved us.  Help us to find our way in love through your unfailing love and faithfulness through our Lord of lords, and King of kings Jesus!  Father your word instructs us -The end of all things is near. Therefore, your daughters   seek your wisdom to be clear minded and self-controlled so that we can pray. We will seek above all,  to love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins.  We will offer hospitality to one another without grumbling.  Father I pray that Each one of your daughters would use whatever gift she has received to serve others, faithfully administering God’s grace in its various forms. If anyone of your daughters speaks, that she should do it as one speaking the very words of God. If anyone one of your daughters serves, that she would do it with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To you Lord be the glory and the power for ever and ever. Amen.

God’s Word – For a man’s ways are in full view of the LORD, and he examines all his paths. Proverbs 5:21

Proverbs 5 Warnings against adultery

Heavenly Father;
We will praise you LORD all our life; we will sing praise to you our God as long as we live. We will not put our trust in princes, in mortal men, who cannot save. Your word teaches us: When their spirit departs, they return to the ground; on that very day their plans come to nothing. Blessed are your daughters whose help is their God, whose hope is in the LORD her God, the Maker of heaven and earth, the sea, and everything in them— You LORD, remain faithful forever. Thank you Father for your faithfulness. You Father uphold the cause of the oppressed and give food to the hungry. Help to number our days aright so we may gain a heart of wisdom. Let us love one another deeply and exalt others higher than our selves. May we be willing and obedient to live according to your word. Thank you for the forgiveness of our transgressions/sins. We will forgive as your have forgiven us. We will drink water from our own cistern, running water from our own well. If our springs overflow in the streets; our streams of water in the public squares? Let them be ours alone, never to be shared with strangers. Father let our fountain be blessed, and may we rejoice in the husband of our youth. May we forever be captivated by his love. Your word states: Why be captivated… by an adulterer? Why embrace … another woman’s husband? For a woman’s ways are in full view of you LORD, and you Lord examine all her paths. We will hide your word in our heart so that we might not sin against you. Thank you for the gift of Christ who is the truth and the life. Thank you for your protection over our lives; our household and our families especially those whom do not believe. Thank you for the answers to our prayers put on your throne of grace. In Jesus’ name we pray…Amen!

Mercy, peace and love be yours in abundance,
Love in Christ,
