Love One Another Deeply
God’s Word: Now that you have purified yourselves by obeying the truth so that you have sincerelove for each other, love one another deeply, from the heart. 1 Peter 1:22

Encouragement Shared:
We are called to love one another deeply… from the heart.
The attributes of love are defined in God’s word. God’s definition is clear. It is only through the power of Christ in you, the word of God written on the tablet of our hearts, along with the “Holy Spirit” leading guiding, prompting us that we can love in this way. How we love one another displays our trust in God’s word through our spiritual maturity of our faith. The Bible states: without faith it impossible to please the Him. Hebrews 11:6
We are commanded to- love one another deeply… Love is an action not an emotion. Emotion leads us to commotion and destruction. It is through our love we are recognized as Christians. The truth is we cannot profess we are Christians and not display love … If we are professing Christ as our savior, we must follow the command to love one another deeply.

God’s Definition of Love: As written in the Book of 1 Corinthians 13:
Love is…Love is kind and patient, never jealous, boastful, proud, or rude. Love isn’t selfish or quick tempered. It doesn’t keep a record of wrongs that others do. Love rejoices in the truth, but not in evil. Love is always supportive [Protects], loyal, hopeful, and trusting.
Love never fails! 1Corinthians 13:4-8 (CEV) Contemporary English Versions
An Acronym for Love ~

Love one another…John 15:12
Obey the truth… 1Peter 1:22
Virtue …add to your faith virtue… 2Peter 1:5
Encourage one another daily… Hebrews 3:13

How The World Loves:
We love because He loved us first … We can only demonstrate this love through God’s loving grace in us.
I share these things to sharpen our swords and to encourage us because of the deceitfulness of sin that plagues us every day. In the world’s definition there is nothing definitive about love. Love is based on false deceptions; preconceptions of following as the world would say: Follow your heart! Follow my heart, according to the word of God my heart is wicked and deceitful [Jeremiah 17:9] …
We fall in love, we fall out of love. We fall out of love, perhaps we have been wronged. Even worse perhaps an individual we once loved no longer lives up to our standard of undefined definition of what we perceive love to be. More than likely the answer is the latter… Where does that leave our relationships within marriage; parent child relationships; friendships? Perhaps it is a circumstance of an non-forgiving heart due to brokenness or critical prideful expectations put on others, often leading to bitterness leaving us in a disgrace from God. That ultimately separates us from God and from any kind of healthy relationships. Love covers a multitude of sins [wrongs]. 1 Peter 4:8

God’s Word: …encourage one another daily, as long as it is called “Today,” so that none of you may be hardened by sin’s deceitfulness. Hebrews 3:13

Encouragement Shared: Today as I read my daily devotional I was lead to Galatian 6:9 Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. And as usual I read through the entire chapter in context then read Matthey Henry’s Commentary. In doing this it helps to give clarity through assurance of the directive of God’s word. I purposed that if we carry one another’s burdens and lift those who have fallen into the deceitfulness of sin we are to bring them back through gentleness and respect. It is our Christian duty of love and act of faith through Christ. Other wise we are chastening, through a critical and cynical position of pride. Truthfully pride lies and divides, that is the vain deceit that is contained in pride. We are to encourage one another daily so that the deceitfulness of sin does not harden us. [Hebrews 3:13]

I know it becomes easy to stand on ceremony pointing out one another’s sin, and being overly critical over behaviors that we deem as unacceptable. However, we need to look intently at the word of God as a mirror into our very own soul. I traveled in a circle of Christian friends that were intelligent and wise with those things pertaining to the word. But, their tolerance for other people’s short comings were critical, unloving and the sad part is they would speak and act on sharing their opinions with out the gentleness or respect that is required. That behavior was just as awful as the sin they were sniffing out in others. They were standing on ceremony thinking themselves more highly than they should. Instead of encouraging through love they were flame throwers running people out of the church and wounding them unnecessarily. Truthfully beloved it is God who determines the motives of the heart, he also can direct the king’s heart as a water course. I have to then ask why do we feel compelled to do the work of the spirit without the promptings of God leading us? We ought to act in love not in attitude or judgment. Love through our faith is something that we ought practice daily through reading, studying and praying over it thoroughly. Speaking the truth in love this is what we are required and commanded to do … through love is the most necessary component. We are recognized by our love. It is God’s will that should be done, therefore allow God to do the conviction and encourage one another, just as we are called to do.

Thank you Lord for your word, it brings to life our faith, duty and sinful nature that only you alone can redeem us from, our sinful ways. Yes you father bring to revelation our sin via the conviction of your word through the power of Christ in us.  Thank you for your loving grace and restoring us to glory to glory – strength to strength.

Mercy, peace and love be yours in abundance.

God’s Word: The words of the reckless pierce like swords, but the tongue of the wise brings healing. Proverbs 12:18
Encouragement Shared: I like the former translation of the NIV best- reckless words pierce like a sword, but the tongue of the wise brings healing. It is often an oversight that words have a great value and can uplift or break someone’s spirit. The power of the tongue speaks life or death. So I ask beloved, Do you speak life with your words? Do you speak death?
I often have personally experienced the person whom speaks reckless words. The sad part is that often these people even though they are fully aware of their actions are just so set in their ways, along with airing their opinions and of course they are absolutely correct in everything that they say and do. They give unsolicited advice, have no regard, empathy or compassion for people. They are an absolute authority in most things … which by the way is not true. They are incapable of loving from a pure heart. They are often judgmental, critical and unawares of the havoc their reckless words cause. It takes much prayer and constant submission to God the Father to forgive these people and love them. Do you recognize this person? Is this person you? Or… Are you at the receiving end of this verbal attacks? In both scenarios this needs much prayer.
Beloved, regardless of our intellect, talent or abilities if nothing is done in love it is futile. So we need to submit those bad thoughts to God… love one another deeply from pure heart that is Christ Jesus.

Knowledge puffs up … Love builds up!
We need to pray over our words we speak to one another. We need to pray for Christ to intercede on our behalf so that our reckless words do not damage or destroy. If you find your self on the receiving end of reckless words, continually being beat down verbally. It is time to clean, clear and let go of the toxic relationships from your life and especially if they profess to belong to Christ. Pray hard for these broken souls continually.
Mercy, peace and love be yours in abundance,

Psalm 140 Prayer from Evildoers…
Heavenly Father,
1 Rescue your daughters, LORD, from evildoers;
protect them from the violent,
2 who devise evil plans in their hearts
and stir up war every day.
3 They make their tongues as sharp as a serpent’s;
the poison of vipers is on their lips.[b]
4 Keep your daughters safe, LORD, from the hands of the wicked;
protect her from the violent,
who devise ways to trip your daughter’s feet.
5 The arrogant have hidden a snare for her;
they have spread out the cords of their net
and have set traps for your daughters along her path.
6 We say to the LORD, “You are our God.”
Hear, LORD, our cry for mercy.
7 Sovereign LORD, our strong deliverer,
you shield our head in the day of battle.
8 Do not grant the wicked their desires, LORD;
do not let their plans succeed.
9 Those who surround your daughter proudly rear their heads;
may the mischief of their lips engulf them.
10 May burning coals fall on them;
may they be thrown into the fire,
into miry pits, never to rise.
11 May slanderers not be established in the land;
may disaster hunt down the violent.
12 I know that the LORD secures justice for the poor
and upholds the cause of the needy.
13 Surely the righteous will praise your name,
and the upright will live in your presence.
Thank you for the advanced answer to this prayer and all our prayers.
In Jesus name … AMEN!
