28 Days to LOVE ~ Day 19

Love Excellently-Love is never rude…

Love is kind and patient,
   never jealous, boastful,
   proud, or rude.
   Love isn’t selfish
   or quick tempered.
It doesn’t keep a record
   of wrongs that others do.
   Love rejoices in the truth,
   but not in evil.
   Love is always supportive,
   loyal, hopeful,
   and trusting.
   Love never fails!
1 Corinthians 13:4-8 Contemporary English Versions…

Love Excellently-Love is never rude-

Encouragement Shared:
Rude defined by Merriam-Webster;  lacking refinement or delicacy: offensive in manner or action: marked by or suggestive of lack of training or skill :  The definition of the three that stands out the most is lacking refinement or delicacy – We certainly do not desire to be women who lack refinement of delicacy despite what the world looks like or says.  In marriage in courtship we need refinement and delicacy… Refinement in speech; refinement in our appearance and that comes through the wisdom of God’s word… Delicacy shows the original divine design we have been created to be when God formed us in the womb.  [Psalm 139] …  The truth is we should not behave in a offensive manner toward anyone especially our husbands, and if we do display that offensive behavior and it’s brought to our attention, we need to apologize immediately.   We also do not want to avenge or teach our husbands a lesson  through that kind of display.  Remember love is not easily angered, or self seeking which is selfish, it keeps no records of wrongs.  So there is no place for rude behavior within the marriage.  Rudeness states:  “I am better than you!”  – “I am more important than you!”…Therefore that means I have no respect for you.  Lack of respect for our husbands is like a demolition bomb for destruction in our marriage.  I know this for a fact because it is the exact way I treated my ex-husband.  It is a demeaning way to approach a difficult conversation; disagreement or circumstance.  The Proverbs state; A kindhearted woman gains respect. Proverbs 11:6- Our desire is to be a kindhearted woman that gains respect.

Love rejoices in the truth, but not in evil.
Love is always supportive, loyal, hopeful,  and trusting.
    Love never fails!
1 Corinthians 13 Contemporary English Version ~

The definition of love has two components;
1. Love on a human level; Emotion Driven
2. The divine definition defined by God 1 Corinthians 13:4-8

God is Love:

Not to us, O LORD, not to us but to your name be the glory, because of your love and faithfulness-Psalm 115:1 God is Love 1John 4:16 His love is un-failing, un-ending his love is as high as the heavens-
For great is your love, reaching to the heavens; your faithfulness reaches to the skies Psalm 57:10
The world views love as an emotion; However love is greater than just feelings…
For all we need to do is to look to the cross and see how much more there is to this feeling or emotion.
In order for us to feel complete in our lives we need to accept this love.
We need to believe this love that offers us freedom will bring us the greatest love of all the Love of Jesus Christ; We also need to accept this love. Most importantly we must also receive this love in our hearts, trust and believe in Christ in order to know this love and have eternal life.
Sounds so basic but the truth is in our humanity, we have are hard time with this great show of affection.
Even going back to the time Christ walk the earth we saw this with Pharisees: [This is visible as Jesus teaches Nicodemus – John 3:1-22]

Love Remains:
There three things that remain faith, hope and love; but the greatest of these is love…1Corinthians 13:13
The greatest gift is love in order to grow in faith and receive the blessing of this awesome love we need to understand God’s attributes of love.  The definition of love by our standard of understanding is usually based on emotions. When emotions lead us it does not provide a good foundation of self-control in our lives. Emotions  always leads us to commotion and adds strife to our life.
The true test becomes do we believe all that the Lord has said.  In order to receive this love we must be willing to commit; delight and trust in the Lord your God through Christ.  We cannot be angry or bitter and holding on to those bitter roots that create in us rotten fruit; the fruit of rage, malice that leads to the root  of unforgiveness.  These entire things make us incomplete and unproductive for the Kingdom of God.

In order to be free of those chains that keep us imprisoned spiritually, emotionally, physically we must be willing to seek the Lord and for his strength continually…  More importantly: We must be willing and obedient.   When hard times come we must search our hearts along with the scriptures to ask ourselves: Is it a trial or is it a consequence of sin due to a bad decision?   When the truth is revealed are we truly repentant?  Do we find ourselves repentant over the same issues consistently?  The scriptures tell us –
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9
