God’s Word: Heal me, Lord, and I will be healed, save me and I will be saved … Jeremiah 17:14
Wisdom Shared: Heal me … Save me Lord by your word and by your power and glorious love.  The Lord speaks healing … restoration through his redeeming grace. He sent out his word and healed them; he rescued them from the grave. Psalm 107:20 … There is abundance of blessings for the obedient in Christ.
  • Beloved, Have you answered God’s call? …
  • Have you prayed about the call of faith? …
  • Are you doing the ministry work he has prompted you to do?
God has sent his Holy Spirit to work through his people… He has empowered us to bring the gospel of peace to those who do not know or believe.  Your family, your friends, your co-workers, your neighbor, the woman that cuts your hair at the salon.  The man that services your car? … That person you see on the subway each morning on your way to work.  Our glory is His-Story to bring the joy of our salvation through Christ that brings strength.  That enriches lives to aspire for the goodness through Christ.
As I think God’s saving grace in my very own life… It has become my duty of faith to encourage, pray through the power of God’s Healing words.  Beloved, he sends healing, he also sends comfort through the promises of the living word that is Christ. All that is required is that we trust and believe.   All the blessings are there waiting for you.  It is by his gracious love … poured out in us that we see the revelation in his word; bringing us from strength to strength.  It is through the obedience he blesses with the best of the land.  The word is “power” … The word is “strength’ more importantly it is active and alive.  [Hebrews 4:12] … How will you respond to the answer of God’s call in your life?  Will you share the good news of Christ? … Beloved, pray for those divine appointments and watch how the Lord works in and through you…

22 Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life, as clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb 2 down the middle of the great street of the city. On each side of the river stood the tree of life, bearing twelve crops of fruit, yielding its fruit every month. And the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations.3 No longer will there be any curse. The throne of God and of the Lamb will be in the city, and his servants will serve him.

Prayer Proverbs 3:1-6

Heavenly Father,

We will “Trust in the Lord” …We will do as your word commands your son [daughter, don’t forget my instruction.  We will let our heart guard your commands,  because they will help us live a long time and provide us with well-being.  We will follow your command - Don’t let loyalty and faithfulness leave you. Bind them on your neck; write them on the tablet of your heart.  Then you will find favor and approval in the eyes of God and humanity.  Trust in the Lord with all your heart; don’t rely on your own intelligence.  Know him in all your paths, and he will keep your ways straight… Thank you Father for the wisdom through you word… thank you for the power of Christ in us!  We will seek to trust in you in all we do. In Jesus name we pray-Amen!

God’s Word: Teach me your way, Lord, that I may rely on your faithfulness; give me an undivided heart, that I may fear your name. Psalm 86:11

Encouragement Shared:
The Factor is LOVE: The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction. Proverbs 1:7 In the fall of 2005 South Florida was hit with record breaking named storms and hurricanes. In that season we were without electricity for days and even sometimes weeks. It was for an opportunity to grow in wisdom and instruction through God.

Here I am, a single mom with a then tween daughter Jessica and teen son Jonathan… It taught me to be prepared and that God truly does equip us for every good work he calls us to, especially those divine appointments. We had just had dinner at a local pizzeria it was the first time we had hot food in days. After dinner we decided to fill the car up with gas, because working pumps were scarce. As we are on this enormous line, there was a young man working the line asking for money. Now I have my standards and preconceived notions about giving money to street people. I flagged down the young man, and my son Jon said, “Mom, what are you doing?” … I told Jon to be quiet and get me a booklet out of the glove box of my car. My daughter Jessica yelled at her brother, “Jon mommy knows what she is doing!” Truthfully I did not know what I was doing, I just wanted to hear this young man’s story.

Fear Factor through Love:
The young man looked healthy and strong, just having a hard time, he needed money for gas for his car, he was driving a late model Ford, mustang. I asked if he had eaten? And he said, no but that he had eaten that morning and he was okay. Hmmm, I thought this was a perfect opportunity to also open a conversation about Jesus… And the young man told me he was saved, he introduced himself, shared his testimony. He also showed us his cross and told me that Jesus is Lord. He lost his job and with the last storm things really hit bottom. I thought to myself, there for the grace of God go I. So, I gave him a new testament, I shoved $5.00 bill in there, then Jon and I got out the car then gave him our left over pizza pie. He thanked me and the kids, and said he knew God was going to be faithful. By the time we got back in the car, in a blink of an eye he was gone and so was his car. We never even heard the car engine. It was an exciting moment for us and we thank God for that opportunity.

Fear of the Lord is Wisdom:
My “Fear Factor” allowed me and my children to minister to someone in need… It was a lesson: Keep on loving one another as brothers and sisters. Do not forget to show hospitality to strangers, for by so doing some people have shown hospitality to angels without knowing it. Hebrews 13:1-2

Mercy, peace and love be yours in abundance,
Love in Christ,
Jennifer Pettiford

What is your Fear Factor? …
I pray that today we open up to God, trust completely in Him so that we can be a blessing in thoses divine appointments.
In Jesus name…AMEN!

Verse to Memorize: Hebrews 13:15-16
Through Jesus, therefore, let us continually offer to God a sacrifice of praise—the fruit of lips that openly profess his name.
And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased.

God’s Word …giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of the saints in the kingdom of light. Colossians 1:12

Encouragement Shared: I become excited at the thought that I share in the inheritance of the saints in the kingdom of light.
This morning as I was preparing for the events of the day, on the radio I heard we have been called to
preach the good news to the poor, to bind up the broken hearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and give
light to the prisoners of darkness and proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.

When ever I read or hear Isaiah 61 I think of my friend Christa, she is an inspiration because she is anointed woman of God, that has been born
into a family of missionaries. Three years in a row she served the people of Haiti and did an outreach for the children of Haiti.
Most recently Missions Trip to Nicaragua January 2012 an outreach Christa helped to organize a missions trip through her Church, Cornerstone Bible Fellowship, Delray Beach, Florida. Christa is working and serving in her very own full time ministry in her community. Christ is currently serving the Home School Community, Saltwater Studies, Inc. offering biblically-based marine science education to children of all ages through home-school, after school and summer programs…. Praise God, Christa is answering the call for the kingdom to minister to the hearts of the poor and needy, to reach out to those living in darkness and to proclaim the favor of the Lord and serve and teach through godly biblical principles.

We may not be in the mission field like my friend Christa, however each day we step out of our homes
we have the very same oppourtunity to comfort those who mourn, to preach the good news to the needy and poor,
to set the captives free and release the prisoners of darkness because we have the living hope dwelling in us.
The anchor to our souls Jesus Christ.
Each day gives us the oppourtunity to be ready for those divine appointments,
to give the good news, to comfort those who mourn, to bestow a crown of beauty for
ashes; strength for fear, gladness for mourning and peace for despair.
Just like Jesus did for us when we accepted him into our hearts and invited him into our life.
Isaiah calls it: The Year of the Lord’s Favor…

Heavenly Father,
May we be ready and willing to answer the call for those divine appointments
to preach the good news, and comfort all those who mourn.
That your glory would rest upon us… In Christ name we pray…Amen!
