God’s Word: Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.

The Prayer of Faith …
Is anyone among you in trouble? Let them pray. Is anyone happy? Let them sing songs of praise. 14 Is anyone among you sick? Let them call the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise them up. If they have sinned, they will be forgiven. Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed.
The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective. Elijah was a human being, even as we are. He prayed earnestly that it would not rain, and it did not rain on the land for three and a half years. Again he prayed, and the heavens gave rain, and the earth produced its crops. My brothers and sisters, if one of you should wander from the truth and someone should bring that person back, remember this: Whoever turns a sinner from the error of their way will save them from death and cover over a multitude of sins. James 5:13-20

Encouragement Shared: The Prayer of Faith encourages us to confess our sins and we will be healed. There is healing in the word of God … The healing power of his word will work in all areas of our existence; Body, mind and spirit … This is evident throughout scripture; Psalm 107:20 states: He sent out his word and healed them; he rescued them from the grave. Praise God he rescued us from the grave and gifted us everlasting life through Christ.
So often I receive prayer request, pray for my husband he’s so obstinate, pray for my marriage we are not communicating, pray for my unsaved family, pray that my boss would treat me fairly, pray for my co-worker that we can get along better. Then the prayer request for our teens… Oh how I remember my teen years and I was awful. Believe me I am not wanting to dismiss any prayer request. Just a reminder that we cannot change others; however God can give us the strength and the heart to be loving, merciful and patient through His enabling us by the direction of the word, and the power of the Holy Spirit. Beloved, sometimes the prayer needs for us to be more diligent in our own journey of faith. Less critical with our standards of what Christianity looks like. It has nothing to do with changing others. It has everything to do with love, justice, mercy and grace. Yes, His word says confess your sins and you will be healed. That is not a maybe that is a promise… to be restored, reconciled and delivered from our sins. In your quiet time with God, ask for revelation for those sins that are keeping you stagnant in your journey of faith. He is faithful not to leave us as we are beloved.
Therefore this is what the LORD says: “If you repent, I will restore you that you may serve me; if you utter worthy, not worthless, words, you will be my spokesman. Let this people turn to you, but you must not turn to them. Jeremiah 15:19

God’s Word: For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders.
And he will be called Wonderful JoCounselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

Encouragement Shared: It becomes so simple to enjoy this time of year the joys of Christmas … Then allowing the excitement of family, gifts along with the sights and sounds that come in the season to diminish the true meaning of Christmas. We love because He (meaning God) first loved us. The truth is that little baby born in the manger was born to die for us. Yes, he was born to give us freedom from bondages that ensnare us.

John 3:16-21 states:
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son. This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but people loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that their deeds will be exposed. But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what they have done has been done in the sight of God.

Take heart beloved, and live confidently in faith that in the midst of life’s circumstance Jesus was born to die for our salvation the forgiveness of our sins. My encouragement for today; remember the true celebration of Christmas is Christ Jesus!

Isaiah Chapter 9
9 Nevertheless, there will be no more gloom for those who were in distress. In the past he humbled the land of Zebulun and the land of Naphtali, but in the future he will honor Galilee of the nations, by the Way of the Sea, beyond the Jordan—
2 The people walking in darkness
have seen a great light;
on those living in the land of deep darkness
a light has dawned.
3 You have enlarged the nation
and increased their joy;
they rejoice before you
as people rejoice at the harvest,
as warriors rejoice
when dividing the plunder.
4 For as in the day of Midian’s defeat,
you have shattered
the yoke that burdens them,
the bar across their shoulders,
the rod of their oppressor.
5 Every warrior’s boot used in battle
and every garment rolled in blood
will be destined for burning,
will be fuel for the fire.
6 For to us a child is born,
to us a son is given,
and the government will be on his shoulders.
And he will be called
Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
7 Of the greatness of his government and peace
there will be no end.
He will reign on David’s throne
and over his kingdom,
establishing and upholding it
with justice and righteousness
from that time on and forever.
The zeal of the LORD Almighty
will accomplish this.

God’s Promise ~ Deliverance “I will surely gather all of you, O Jacob; I will surely bring together the remnant of Israel. I will bring them together like sheep in a pen, like a flock in its pasture; the place will throng with people. One who breaks open the way will go up before them; they will break through the gate and go out.
Their king will pass through before them, the LORD at their head.” Micah 2:12-13

Encouragement Shared:
The Promise he will gather us up as sheep; He will protect us and break the through the gate and go before us…This prophetic word through Micah the profit is powerful. Isaiah the Prophet also states in that most powerful prophecy in Isaiah 53; He was oppressed and afflicted, yet he did not open his mouth; he was led like a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is silent, so he did not open his mouth. Isaiah 53:7 Jesus in his Ministry here on earth taught this lesson. And states that he is gate; he is the good shepherd; …Just as the Father knows me and I know the Father…and I lay down my life…John 10:15 I have other sheep that are not of this sheep pen. I must bring them also. [ Read John Chapter 10;1-21 The Shepherd and His Flock Link: ]

The Shepherd and His Flock
In John 10:10 Jesus clearly states his mission and ministry here on earth and also in the kingdom; The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full. < His purpose is for us to have an abundant life to the full, in order to succeed spiritually we need to stay connected to HIM Jesus Christ ...the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider him who endured such opposition from sinful men, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart. Hebrews 12:2;3 When ever I think of the abundant life I think connect, repent, reconcile, restore and renewal daily.

In his last evening on earth Jesus exhortations to the disciples are powerful words spoken in order that they would not lose heart or become weary. Essentially it was the end of Christ's Ministry on earth, but it was the beginning of the Church, these men went on to do mighty acts through the power of Christ in them. You my friend have the very same power in you to do mighty and powerful acts in the name of Jesus! Halleluiah! I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete. John 15:11 Joy is what completes us…When we were thieves and robbers we listen to only one voice, we brought the one lie that caused us to live an unfruitful life without Christ. That pruning going on in us today is leading to a life of abundance through Christ. I know this for sure, he who began a good work in us will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus…I guess that makes you a sheep my friend…Bah…Bah…May the joy of LORD be your strength.

Mercy, peace and love be yours in abundance…
