God’s Word: Tremble and do not sin; when you are on your beds, search your hearts and be silent. Proverbs 4:4

Wisdom Shared: We cannot allow our hard circumstances define us … Instead we must take a personal inventory and ask God for wisdom, direction along with strength. Yes beloved, God is faithful to direct our paths. Stand tall be of “Good Courage” and “Good Cheer” the Lord is near… So therefore do not fear, he will direct your paths. The Lord is faithful to reveal the truths that give us freedom through Christ that gives us strength.

Hard Times are Lessons:

Hard Times will come into our life …it is after all part of life. So do not strife with those closest to you. Do not dismiss, or make demeaning remarks, do not allow any bitter root sprout up within and defile many. When emotions control us it only leads to disparity. Emotions out of control bring forth: Anger, rage, resentment,
depression, oppression and worst of all pride. These traits turn into bitterness, and bitterness makes a firm foundation for a hard heart.

Beloved, do not make light of the Lord’s discipline …the Lord disciplines those he loves. Be mindful in all you do and follow the commands of the word of God; it sets an example to all looking on and know that you belong to Christ. The word commands us; Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-17

God’s Word: Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God.
Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God.
1 John 4:7

…pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace, along with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart. 2 Timothy 2:22

Wisdom Shared:
In our journey through the “faith” … Relationship with God through Christ is an important direction to arrive at the destination of victory…
and yes, success. As I read 2 Timothy 2:22 it reiterates the point our need for dependence on the Lord, to call upon the Lord with a pure heart.
Pursuing righteousness through faith love and peace that surpasses all human understanding are those characteristics that will become part of who we are in Christ Jesus. That is the visual transformation, that God is the leader of our life and we are committed to Him through submission.

Hardships are Lessons:
Hardships are life lessons that will bring us wisdom, and God’s grace and glory-Psalmist write; He gives us grace and glory (favor and honor). Psalm 84:11
This includes the all importance: forgiveness; Forgiveness of self-Forgiveness of others it is a necessary component other wise we will not walk in love-For if you forgive men when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins. Matthew 6:14;15-UN-forgiveness always leads us to bitterness-See to it that no one misses the grace of God and that no bitter root grows up to cause trouble and defile many. Hebrews 12:15-The fruit of UN-forgiveness: Resentment, anger, rage. They all equal Danger. Forgiveness keeps spiritual matters in place: Forgiveness of self and other people this is love. The healthier we are spiritually the more likely we are to be forgiving and display love to others. If we are not spiritually healthy or mature it becomes an issue of pride-being overly sensitive, self-focused. We are less likely to be forgiving or loving.

The Debt of Love:
Paul states; let not one debt remain unpaid except for the debt of love. We must continue to love one another deeply because love covers a multitude of sins. 1 Peter 4:8 We also need to look at our selves in sober judgment. For by the grace given me I say to every one of you: Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment, in accordance with the measure of faith God has given you. Romans 12:3…and also as to the word of God exhorts; For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. Hebrews 4:12-We need to be in the word; we also need not just to be hearers but, doers of the word that is what sets us apart from the unbelievers in the world we live in. That saying “follow your heart”, is a deception that leads us astray. Jeremiah 17:9 states The heart is deceiving-our emotions are misleading! The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Who can understand it? “I the LORD search the heart and examine the mind, to reward a man according to his conduct, according to what his deeds deserve.” Jeremiah 17:9;10 King Solomon writes; Above all else, guard your heart, for it is the wellspring of life. Proverbs 4:23

Nehemiah’s Prayer

1 The words of Nehemiah son of Hakaliah:

In the month of Kislev in the twentieth year, while I was in the citadel of Susa, 2 Hanani, one of my brothers, came from Judah with some other men, and I questioned them about the Jewish remnant that had survived the exile, and also about Jerusalem.

3 They said to me, “Those who survived the exile and are back in the province are in great trouble and disgrace. The wall of Jerusalem is broken down, and its gates have been burned with fire.”

4 When I heard these things, I sat down and wept. For some days I mourned and fasted and prayed before the God of heaven. 5 Then I said:

“Lord, the God of heaven, the great and awesome God, who keeps his covenant of love with those who love him and keep his commandments, 6 let your ear be attentive and your eyes open to hear the prayer your servant is praying before you day and night for your servants, the people of Israel. I confess the sins we Israelites, including myself and my father’s family, have committed against you. 7 We have acted very wickedly toward you. We have not obeyed the commands, decrees and laws you gave your servant Moses.

8 “Remember the instruction you gave your servant Moses, saying, ‘If you are unfaithful, I will scatter you among the nations, 9 but if you return to me and obey my commands, then even if your exiled people are at the farthest horizon, I will gather them from there and bring them to the place I have chosen as a dwelling for my Name.’

10 “They are your servants and your people, whom you redeemed by your great strength and your mighty hand. 11 Lord, let your ear be attentive to the prayer of this your servant and to the prayer of your servants who delight in revering your name. Give your servant success today by granting him favor in the presence of this man.”

I was cupbearer to the king.
