Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it.  Proverbs 22:6

The Encouragement: Do not seek to be perfect, seek instead to work at love in excellence…but only through the grace of God. Parenting: It requires sacrificial love, commitment, consideration, planning, and the desire to give endless amounts of time, patience, understanding, seeking wisdom to impart wisdom … and yes many prayers. It’s not designer clothes, or the latest over priced sneakers, or the latest electronic gadgets, or expensive gestures that put us into financial ruin … It’s all about protection, safety, care and listening, spending quantitative – qualitative time … showing: truth, respect, honor through love toward our children. It’s living the talk …not just talking the talk. It’s correction without breaking spirits… Sound counsel without reckless words. Loving in the most excellent ways.

So often, I witness the breaking of spirits in children, while I am out and about… This is coming from a mother that raised two children one of them,an extremely active child.  I can tell you losing your cool is not good.  Breaking your child’s esteem is greatly at risk.  If your child doesn’t do well running errands with you then don’t bring him/her.  Work it in during your work week… before work, during lunch or after work before pick-up.  Make your free time about family time, after all in the blink of an eye they are off to college and onto their own lives.  If you are a single parent, try doing Wal-Mart on line grocery ordering,  a $50.00 minimum then pick it up later.  Check out your local markets see if they offer that service.  There services that are doing this for a minimal fee.  Do as much of on-line business as possible, technology is a great asset we can do on line banking, bill payments, shop for supplies for the house, school and work.  We can even keep up with the kids academics – You  don’t need to be hit with a last minute project and scramble around to help them complete it.  We can view the class syllabus on line; set your smart phones up for strategies and plan with you children.  The best plan I love is assigning chores; my kids were excellent at this because they were competitive.  Their competitiveness not only got the house cleaned and laundry done, they made sure it stayed that way.  I miss those days.  - The most important order of keeping life in order is getting rest … do your best to get you and everyone to bed early.  Nothing more stressful than working with no sleep.  The body needs to rest, repair and rejuvenate.  Do pray consistently daily find a time that works best for you. – Pray in you alone time; the kids nap time and pray as a family, it keeps good communication flowing between you and God and God and the children.  This is what I call faith in action…  Be blessed and rest in his presence.

Fathers,[Parents] do not exasperate your children; instead, bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord. Eph. 6:4

God’s Word –
In repentance and rest is your strength Isaiah 30:15 …

The Lord is a A faithful God blessed are those who wait for him to help them. Deuteronomy 7:9

Be still and know that I am God. Psalm 46:11
Wisdom shared: During the waiting and being still, it’s good to praise the glory of the Lord working in us and through us. Yes, it is good to praise him while we wait… It is in those quiet times we are comforted and we are stretched.  We learn patience, perseverance, and we gain perspective through God’s purpose.  It is through those quiet times we gain godly visions instead of our own fleshly actions.  When we wait on God we see the results of his love, mercy and grace.  It is in the darkest times of my life I have seen the goodness of the Lord … I am thankful for the deliverance out of the darkness.  I am thankful for His unfailing love…

Do Not Give Up … Each time I’m ready to give up I am reminded of the promises given to me years ago. It is because of the promises that have been given to me through God’s word of truth that I have endured in sickness and also in health. I have also been sustained during great times of need and in times of abundance. I have seen the goodness of the Lord and each time I am ready to give up I am reminded of the Almighty God who is patient and never forsakes us. Yes, beloved it is through the word of hope The Bible that he continually heals my soul. He will never leave us or forsake us so we say with confidence the Lord is my helper I will not fear … What can man do to me?… [Hebrews 13;5-6] Yes, we are reminded to maintain an attitude of gratitude, to display  patience and kindness. We are not to be anxious, we are not to be prideful, arrogant or rude. We are not to be self seeking or easily angered not counting wrong doing of others. Instead we want to rejoice in all circumstances encourage the weak, and help the lost. Yes we will rejoice in the truth, that is the eternal hope of his word of Christ in us. We have the power to endure through all circumstance. We have the promises to stand firm in the word to remain confident.
    Prayer:
Heavenly Father, We thank you for the wisdom of your word. It is through your word that we are empowered to do every good work that you qualified us to do. May we continue to stand firm in the faith and fight the good fight for the faith, in sharing your gospel of peace. By the way we live our lives for all to see as well as being bold to evangelize to those who are weary and lost. We thank you for the word in us that it would be fruitful and multiply 100 times over!
    In Jesus name. Amen!
Mercy, peace and love be yours in abundance …

God’s Word on Peace: Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. John 14:27

Wisdom Shared: When ever I see greens and blues I associate those colors with peace and sereneness …
When I was a teenager I attended summer camp in upstate New York close to the Appalachian Trail. Our group would go on two night camp-out each year, although I am not a fan of camp-outs I’d go with great trepidation and reluctance. Then as we arrived at the camp site, the beauty of the green mountains, serene lakes and streams under the blue summer sky would bring me peace. Then I’d relax and take it all in … I would wonder: What was I so afraid of?

It is pretty much like following Christ, before we become Christians and we receive the invitation to follow Jesus, we approach the throne with great fear and reluctance. As we draw near to the Father through Christ who gives us strength for our journey, we cannot help but wonder; How did I exist without HIM? Yes, Beloved, he gives us strength for our journey in the good times, the hardships and storms of life. But the word of God reassures us that his presence is within us through the power of Christ in us along with the Holy Spirit.
