Set Apart in Christ

God’s Word: You can be sure of this:

The Lord set apart the godly for himself.

The Lord will answer when I call to him. Psalm 4:3

Psalm 4
1 Answer me when I call to you,
O God who declares me innocent.
Free me from my troubles.
Have mercy on me and hear my prayer.
2 How long will you people ruin my reputation?
How long will you make groundless accusations?
How long will you continue your lies? Interlude
3 You can be sure of this:
The Lord set apart the godly for himself.
The Lord will answer when I call to him.
4 Don’t sin by letting anger control you.
Think about it overnight and remain silent. Interlude
5 Offer sacrifices in the right spirit,
and trust the Lord.
6 Many people say, “Who will show us better times?”
Let your face smile on us, Lord.
7 You have given me greater joy
than those who have abundant harvests of grain and new wine.
8 In peace I will lie down and sleep,
for you alone, O Lord, will keep me safe.

Wisdom Shared:  Beloved … You have been set apart in Christ. More importantly you are loved!  When we accept Christ as our Lord and Savior; You are empowered by the power of the Holy Spirit through the joy  of the Lord-Christ who gives us strength.  There is no other power in entire universe that can bring us peace in our troubles… healing that leads to restoration – through redemption. Last month we celebrated Christ’ birth that brings salvation to one and all. Christ loved us and gave Himself up for us. Ephesians 5:2 NIV ~  It is a priceless gift bring us to his eternal glory!  Submission unto Him, brings great reward.  Even in our time of suffering he empowers us for glory.  Our story becomes HIS-STORY of love grace through the glory of the Lord.  Yes, beloved you are a living testimony of God’s loving grace.  My Encouragement for you Beloved; …I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in him. Then you will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit. Romans 15:13 NLT – New Living Translation

Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.” Hebrews 13:1
Tranquil Tuesday …

Wisdom Shared;
Be content with what things you have…As I read Ecclesiastes 7 …this is the first thought that came to mind. And the Lord says; Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you. so we say with confidence; The Lord is my [our] helper, what can man do to me?” Remember your leaders [pastors’. deacons and eldors- and the word of truth spoken to you, imitate their faith because Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever. Yes, Beloved Jesus is the same, the Holy Word is the same … He doesn’t change nor does the word spoken to our hearts and mind. Be wise, and hold onto those wise words from the scriptures they will equip you in every area of your life circumstance.
Heavenly Father…
Help us to increase our faith…
That we would keep your word on the top of our minds and on the tip of our tongues. We seek to gain your godly wisdom to direct our day to day lives … We will seek your counsel through the wisdom you impart to us, knowing all too well that you don’t change, you are the same yesterday. today and forever.  May every word of Christ that is living and active come alive in our being.  We will rely fully on the wisdom of your word to add wisdom to our learning so that we can be equipped for every good work you have divinely appointed us to.  Thank you for your word spoken to us.  We thank you for the deliverance that shows your glory though our faith.
In Jesus name-Amen!
Mercy, peace and love be yours in abundance,
In Christ Love,

Ecclesiastes 7
Wisdom for Life
7 A good reputation is more valuable than costly perfume. And the day you die is better than the day you are born. 2 Better to spend your time at funerals than at parties. After all, everyone dies— so the living should take this to heart. 3 Sorrow is better than laughter, for sadness has a refining influence on us. 4 A wise person thinks a lot about death, while a fool thinks only about having a good time.
5 Better to be criticized by a wise person than to be praised by a fool. 6 A fool’s laughter is quickly gone, like thorns crackling in a fire. This also is meaningless.
7 Extortion turns wise people into fools, and bribes corrupt the heart.
8 Finishing is better than starting. Patience is better than pride.
9 Control your temper, for anger labels you a fool.
10 Don’t long for “the good old days.” This is not wise.
11 Wisdom is even better when you have money. Both are a benefit as you go through life. 12 Wisdom and money can get you almost anything, but only wisdom can save your life.
13 Accept the way God does things, for who can straighten what he has made crooked? 14 Enjoy prosperity while you can, but when hard times strike, realize that both come from God. Remember that nothing is certain in this life.

In the day when I cried out, You answered me, And made me bold with strength in my soul. Psalm 138:3 …

Tranquil Tuesday…

Tranquil simply is – Quiet & Peace

Wisdom Shared:

Monday has a feel, Wednesday the middle of the work week for most is over. Thursday we are past the hump … and Friday is the start of our weekend. But Tuesday is just. well Tuesday… How about making it special between you and God. Only God can revive our heart, mind and spiritual being. Only God can speak to us through wisdom, knowledge and understanding that brings us vision and clarity to lifes’ turmoils brought on by trials, hardships and sometimes just simply put, bad decisions.

Tranquil moments are necessary in life, it is especially so in the tumultuous difficulties that come up in our daily lives. Being transparent, sincere to share through through encouraging words of God it opens the way for Him to show his glory in every life he created. It is in the most difficult times of my very own personal life through the hardships of life that I have grown the most. It is in those moments that trusting the Lord with all our heart, and not leaning on our own understanding … the vision becomes clear in the wisdom of the Holy Scriptures; the lot has been cast… Make time with God a priority to meditate; read, memorize, apply and pray over his word. Pray for strength in our journey, pray for guidance and direction in our relationships with our spouses; our children our family members, and our work relationships as well. We do not grieve, because it is the joy of the Lord that is our strength. That joy is Jesus!  Jesus, Jesus, Jesus … Lead us to the rock that is higher than us, give us tranquility: that is quiet and peace. Allow us to be bold and stout by the power of your word -THANK YOU JESUS! In the day when I cried out, You answered me, And made me bold with strength in my soul. Ps. 138:3 He makes us Bold and stout-hearted! … Take time out of each day to draw near to God in those tranquil moments.

Mercy, peace and love be yours in abundance,

Jennifer Pettiford

Heavenly Father …

I will praise your Holy Name upon all the earth… You are worthy of all our praise and honor. You created the land and seas… the sky and all the stars in the universe. Help to increase our faith… Help to bring to remembrance all the trails we have been delivered from. Glory to glory – strength to strength … be with your sons and daughters equip them with all wisdom, knowledge and understanding. Bring clarity over doubt, bring revelation through your word. Open the eyes of our heart so that we can live only according to your will. May it be your will be done here on earth as is happening in heaven… Lead us away from temptation and delivers us from evil, along with evil deceptive people… Let us be faith-filled to put on the you full Armor of God- Then when the evil day comes, we will be able to resist the enemy’s attacks; and after fighting to the end, we will still hold your ground.   …with truth as a belt tight around our waist, with righteousness as our breastplate, and as our shoes the readiness to announce the Good News of peace. At all times carry faith as a shield; for with it we will be able to put out all the burning arrows shot by the Evil One. And accept salvation as a helmet, and the word of God as the sword which the Spirit gives us. Do all this in prayer, asking for God’s help. Pray on every occasion, as the Spirit leads. For this reason keep alert and never give up; pray always for all God’s people. In Jesus Name AMEN!
