God’s Word through the Psalms:
Psalm 7
1 Lord my God, I take refuge in you;
save and deliver me from all who pursue me,
2 or they will tear me apart like a lion
and rip me to pieces with no one to rescue me.
3 Lord my God, if I have done this
and there is guilt on my hands—
4 if I have repaid my ally with evil
or without cause have robbed my foe—
5 then let my enemy pursue and overtake me;
let him trample my life to the ground
and make me sleep in the dust.[c]
6 Arise, Lord, in your anger;
rise up against the rage of my enemies.
Awake, my God; decree justice.
7 Let the assembled peoples gather around you,
while you sit enthroned over them on high.
8 Let the Lord judge the peoples.
Vindicate me, Lord, according to my righteousness,
according to my integrity, O Most High.
9 Bring to an end the violence of the wicked
and make the righteous secure—
you, the righteous God
who probes minds and hearts.
10 My shield[d] is God Most High,
who saves the upright in heart.
11 God is a righteous judge,
a God who displays his wrath every day.
12 If he does not relent,
he[e] will sharpen his sword;
he will bend and string his bow.
13 He has prepared his deadly weapons;
he makes ready his flaming arrows.
14 Whoever is pregnant with evil
conceives trouble and gives birth to disillusionment.
15 Whoever digs a hole and scoops it out
falls into the pit they have made.
16 The trouble they cause recoils on them;
their violence comes down on their own heads.
17 I will give thanks to the Lord because of his righteousness;
I will sing the praises of the name of the Lord Most High.

Wisdom Shared: As I read and meditate on this Psalm, the verse that stands out most;
Verse 11: God is a righteous judge, a God who displays his wrath every day. I find my
self in the midst of many battles at work. It has caused me a great deal of disappointment
beyond all logic and understanding. Unfair practices at the work place can lead to a dead end
if we view it as a personal assault on our character, our work ethic and abilities. I have been
in this struggle for the last 3 years, but each time I find my self leaning toward feeling bad for
my situation its like digging my self into a pit of pity and despair. The truth is despair leads
to nothingness. So I call out to God, and through the power of Christ in me, I am empowered show up at work, give my all as if working for the Lord and not men. I treat my superiors with the respect and yes, I am a team player. I rest in confidence that our God is a righteous judge, a God who displays his wrath every day. And if he does not relent it is to sharpen his sword.
he will bend and string his bow. – He has prepared his deadly weapons; he makes ready his
flaming arrows. Whoever is pregnant with evil conceives trouble and gives birth to disillusionment.
Psalm 7:12-14

The Whole Counsel of God:
Truthfully, it is hard to imagine God striking down anyone; because most would argue; we are living in the new covenant. The word of God is clear, we must understand the whole counsel of God to gain godly wisdom, understanding and a clear perspective. It brings me comfort and godly confidence to know that those who conceive evil and trouble will face the effects of their disillusionment. It is He (God) the avenger of our enemies,
it empowers us to live in faith, and walk in wisdom through the power of Christ and the Holy Spirit.

God’s Word through the Psalms:
Psalm 6
A psalm of David.

1 Lord, do not rebuke me in your anger
or discipline me in your wrath.
2 Have mercy on me, Lord, for I am faint;
heal me, Lord, for my bones are in agony.
3 My soul is in deep anguish.
How long, Lord, how long?
4 Turn, Lord, and deliver me;
save me because of your unfailing love.
5 Among the dead no one proclaims your name.
Who praises you from the grave?
6 I am worn out from my groaning.
All night long I flood my bed with weeping
and drench my couch with tears.
7 My eyes grow weak with sorrow;
they fail because of all my foes.
8 Away from me, all you who do evil,
for the Lord has heard my weeping.
9 The Lord has heard my cry for mercy;
the Lord accepts my prayer.
10 All my enemies will be overwhelmed with shame and anguish;
they will turn back and suddenly be put to shame.

Wisdom Shared:
Psalm 6 is one of seven Penitential Psalms; great as prayers for brokenness over our sins …
In our fast pace digital social media world, we do not hear much about penance.
As I was doing my due diligence regarding Penitential Psalms; I came across a graph that showed that our
society since the 1800’s has grown less toward penance … The contrite heart is what God esteems.
Has not my hand made all these things, and so they came into being?” declares the Lord.“These are the ones I look
on with favor: those who are humble and contrite in spirit, and who tremble at my word. Isaiah 66:2

Heavenly Father,
Your word states that if we confess our sins you are faithful to restore us.
Father give us a heart to revere and obey you. Give us the mind of Christ
as we meditate on your word. May we be faith filled to trust and know that
you are for us. We thank you Father, for your word that equips us for every good work that
you call us to. In Christ Name, AMEN!

God’s Word through the Psalms:
Psalm 5 – A psalm of David.

1 Listen to my words, Lord,
consider my lament.
2 Hear my cry for help,
my King and my God,
for to you I pray.
3 In the morning, Lord, you hear my voice;
in the morning I lay my requests before you
and wait expectantly.
4 For you are not a God who is pleased with wickedness;
with you, evil people are not welcome.
5 The arrogant cannot stand
in your presence.
You hate all who do wrong;
6 you destroy those who tell lies.
The bloodthirsty and deceitful
you, Lord, detest.
7 But I, by your great love,
can come into your house;
in reverence I bow down
toward your holy temple.
8 Lead me, Lord, in your righteousness
because of my enemies—
make your way straight before me.
9 Not a word from their mouth can be trusted;
their heart is filled with malice.
Their throat is an open grave;
with their tongues they tell lies.
10 Declare them guilty, O God!
Let their intrigues be their downfall.
Banish them for their many sins,
for they have rebelled against you.
11 But let all who take refuge in you be glad;
let them ever sing for joy.
Spread your protection over them,
that those who love your name may rejoice in you.
12 Surely, Lord, you bless the righteous;
you surround them with your favor as with a shield.

Wisdom Shared:
He leads us in His glory to victory! … Yes, beloved God’s favor is a shield.
As I meditate on this Psalm, it brings to mind that his faithful love endures all things.
His faithful love protects us from attacks of evil and wickedness and their wicked
schemes do not stand a chance. He detest the ways of the arrogant.
We can and should rest in confidence, that he brings us through the darkest times.
He leads us to the paths of righteousness. Yes, God the father is our shepherd,
he protects and corrects us. He blesses us with strength and peace through the
presence of Christ in us, and empowers us through wisdom and the
knowledge of His word through the power of Holy Spirit directing us.

Heavenly Father,
We thank Lord for you faithfulness and the love you surround
us with. We thank your for Jesus and the Holy Spirit in us.
Thank you for your word, yes Lord your word is a lamp unto our feet,
and a light to your righteousness, your
favor and honor protects us as a shield.
For that we are eternally grateful.

Mercy, peace and love be yours in abundance,
In Christ Love,
