God’s Word – One of you routs a thousand, because the Lord your God fights for you, just as he promised. Joshua 23:10

The Wicked: In his arrogance the wicked man hunts down the weak, who are caught in the schemes he devises. He boasts about the cravings of his heart;
he blesses the greedy and reviles the Lord. Psalm 10:2-3

Encouragement Shared:
Many plans are those of the wicked, they plot evil schemes to oppose those who revere God.
In Arrogance … the wicked man hunts down the weak, who are caught in the schemes he devises.
But the Lord is a consuming fire … He fights for those who seek him diligently. He hears the cries
of the weak, he strengthens them with his mighty presence. Beloved what ever your battle, just
call out to the Lord and he will hear you. Yes, beloved that is his promise: One of you routs a thousand, because the Lord your God fights for you,
just as he promised. Joshua 23:10 Yes, Beloved he is there for you…just call out to him.

Prayer:
Heavenly Father,
Thank you for hearing us when we call… When the anger of our foes comes down on us let
Them be disgraced and feel shame … Let them be dismayed by their arrogance and the pain
Brought on through their very own evil and wickedness. We will rest in confidence that you are
our defender and our strength. Let those who commit those devious schemes be consumed by
your anger so that they will seek your name. You are the Lord almighty …
the earth is yours and everything in it. Lord have mercy on us especially the weak,
the oppressed and those whom are lost in the abyss of darkness.
In Jesus name-Amen!

Psalm 83
A song. A psalm of Asaph.
1 O God, do not remain silent;
do not turn a deaf ear,
do not stand aloof, O God.
2 See how your enemies growl,
how your foes rear their heads.
3 With cunning they conspire against your people;
they plot against those you cherish.
4 “Come,” they say, “let us destroy them as a nation,
so that Israel’s name is remembered no more.”
5 With one mind they plot together;
they form an alliance against you—
6 the tents of Edom and the Ishmaelites,
of Moab and the Hagrites,
7 Byblos, Ammon and Amalek,
Philistia, with the people of Tyre.
8 Even Assyria has joined them
to reinforce Lot’s descendants.[b]
9 Do to them as you did to Midian,
as you did to Sisera and Jabin at the river Kishon,
10 who perished at Endor
and became like dung on the ground.
11 Make their nobles like Oreb and Zeeb,
all their princes like Zebah and Zalmunna,
12 who said, “Let us take possession
of the pasturelands of God.”
13 Make them like tumbleweed, my God,
like chaff before the wind.
14 As fire consumes the forest
or a flame sets the mountains ablaze,
15 so pursue them with your tempest
and terrify them with your storm.
16 Cover their faces with shame, LORD,
so that they will seek your name.
17 May they ever be ashamed and dismayed;
may they perish in disgrace.
18 Let them know that you, whose name is the LORD—
that you alone are the Most High over all the earth.

Mercy, peace and love be yours in abundance,

Those who know your name trust in you, for you, Lord, have never forsaken those who seek you. Psalm 9:10

Encouragement Shared:
The Lord reigns he is enthroned in the heavens there for us in our greatest time of need.
He establishes his throne for judgments … and in righteousness he judges his people with
impartiality. Yes, beloved our loving Father fights for us. His word shares that truth;
“The Lord has driven out before you great and powerful nations; to this day no one has been able to withstand you.
One of you routs a thousand, because the Lord your God fights for you, just as he promised.
So be very careful to love the Lord your God. Joshua 23:9-11

Psalm 9

1 I will give thanks to you, LORD, with all my heart;
I will tell of all your wonderful deeds.
2 I will be glad and rejoice in you;
I will sing the praises of your name, O Most High.
3 My enemies turn back;
they stumble and perish before you.
4 For you have upheld my right and my cause,
sitting enthroned as the righteous judge.
5 You have rebuked the nations and destroyed the wicked;
you have blotted out their name for ever and ever.
6 Endless ruin has overtaken my enemies,
you have uprooted their cities;
even the memory of them has perished.
7 The LORD reigns forever;
he has established his throne for judgment.
8 He rules the world in righteousness
and judges the peoples with equity.
9 The LORD is a refuge for the oppressed,
a stronghold in times of trouble.
10 Those who know your name trust in you,
for you, LORD, have never forsaken those who seek you.
11 Sing the praises of the LORD, enthroned in Zion;
proclaim among the nations what he has done.
12 For he who avenges blood remembers;
he does not ignore the cries of the afflicted.
13 LORD, see how my enemies persecute me!
Have mercy and lift me up from the gates of death,
14 that I may declare your praises
in the gates of Daughter Zion,
and there rejoice in your salvation.
15 The nations have fallen into the pit they have dug;
their feet are caught in the net they have hidden.
16 The LORD is known by his acts of justice;
the wicked are ensnared by the work of their hands.[c]
17 The wicked go down to the realm of the dead,
all the nations that forget God.
18 But God will never forget the needy;
the hope of the afflicted will never perish.
19 Arise, LORD, do not let mortals triumph;
let the nations be judged in your presence.
20 Strike them with terror, LORD;
let the nations know they are only mortal.

God’s Word: Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High
will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. Psalm 91:1

Encouragement Shared: Isaiah the Prophet exhorts us to trust in the Lord forever…Trust in the Lord forever, for the Lord, the Lord himself, is the Rock eternal. Isaiah 26:4 It is only to our own essential well being that we trust completely in the Lord almighty. Do not believe it’s just impossible to do this. The truth beloved it is impossible not to trust in the Lord with all your concerns … Jesus stated if you love me you will obey my commands. Obedience brings blessings Isaiah 1:19 Deuteronomy 6:4-6New International Version (NIV)
4 Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one.[a] 5 Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. 6 These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts.
Heavenly Father,
You make the impossible very possible … You equip us for every good work through Jesus Christ. Thank you Father for the exhortation of your all powerful word through the power of Christ in us and the power of the Holy Spirit in us, reveal to us those truths that will keep us grounded and sanctified through you. It is in Jesus name… Amen!

Psalm 91
1 Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High
will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.[a]
2 I will say of the LORD, “He is my refuge and my fortress,
my God, in whom I trust.”
3 Surely he will save you
from the fowler’s snare
and from the deadly pestilence.
4 He will cover you with his feathers,
and under his wings you will find refuge;
his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.
5 You will not fear the terror of night,
nor the arrow that flies by day,
6 nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness,
nor the plague that destroys at midday.
7 A thousand may fall at your side,
ten thousand at your right hand,
but it will not come near you.
8 You will only observe with your eyes
and see the punishment of the wicked.
9 If you say, “The LORD is my refuge,”
and you make the Most High your dwelling,
10 no harm will overtake you,
no disaster will come near your tent.
11 For he will command his angels concerning you
to guard you in all your ways;
12 they will lift you up in their hands,
so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.
13 You will tread on the lion and the cobra;
you will trample the great lion and the serpent.
14 “Because he[b] loves me,” says the LORD, “I will rescue him;
I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name.
15 He will call on me, and I will answer him;
I will be with him in trouble,
I will deliver him and honor him.
16 With long life I will satisfy him
and show him my salvation.”
