God’s Word: Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it.  Proverbs 22:6

The Encouragement: #Training #Instruction #Love

Do not seek to be perfect, seek instead to work at love in excellence…but only through the grace of God. Parenting: It requires sacrificial love, commitment, consideration, planning, and the desire to give endless amounts of time, patience, understanding, seeking wisdom to impart wisdom … and yes many prayers. The path to success starts first with true love, guiding our children; by lovingly training – instruction for direction.   It’s not designer clothes, or the latest over priced sneakers, or the latest electronic gadgets, or expensive gestures that put us into financial ruin … It’s all about protection, safety, care and listening, spending quantitative – qualitative time … showing: truth, respect, honor through love toward our children. It’s living the talk …not just talking the talk. It’s correction without breaking spirits… Sound counsel without reckless words. Loving in the most excellent ways.  It is a mind set of self-discipline and order.  If we are seeking relationship with God growing in spiritual wisdom, you have a future of success.  Remember I said success not perfection that creates stress.  Our children model our behavior.  If we swear, they swear … If we grumble and complain they complain.   If we act out our anger; they will do the same… you get the point.  It’s not easy but take advice from a who knows for a fact that is the cause and effect.

Correction Connection:

So often, I witness the breaking of spirits in children, while I am out and about… This is coming from a mother that raised two children one of them,an extremely active child.  I can tell you losing your cool is not good.  Breaking your child’s esteem is greatly at risk. If your child doesn’t do well running errands with you then don’t bring him/her.  Work it in during your work week… before work, during lunch or after  work before pick-up.  Make your free time about family time, after all in the blink of an eye they are off to college and onto their own lives.

Do the Right Thing:

Shop On-line

If you are a single parent, try doing Wal-Mart on line grocery ordering,  a $50.00 minimum then pick it up later.  Check out your local markets see if they offer that service.  There services that are doing this for a minimal fee.  Do as much of on-line business as possible, technology is a great asset we can do on line banking, bill payments, shop for supplies for the house, school and work.

You can even keep up with the kids academics – You  don’t need to be hit with a last minute project and scramble around to help them complete it.  We can view the class syllabus on line; set your smart phones up for strategies and plan with you children.

Best Plans in Motion: The best plan is to have a plan. Use tools; smart-phones wall planners and organizers; you can buy those peel and stick on the wall.  Assigning chores;  is a necessary tool to teach order and direction.  My son and daughter were excellent at this because they were competitive.  Their competitiveness not only got the house cleaned and laundry done, they made sure it stayed that way.  I miss those days.  - The most important order of keeping life in order is getting rest … do your best to get you and everyone to bed early.  Nothing more stressful than working with no sleep.  The body needs to rest, repair and rejuvenate.  Do pray consistently daily find a time that works best for you. – Pray in you alone time; the kids nap time and pray as a family, it keeps good communication  between you and God and God and the children.  This is what I call faith in action…  Be blessed and rest in his presence.

Mercy, peace and love be yours in abundance,

In Christ Love,

God’s Word – “For you will go out with joy And be led forth with peace; The mountains and the hills will break forth into shouts of joy before you, And all the trees of the fieldwill clap their hands.” NASB

Encouragement Shared:
The Bible states; God will make known to us the path of life; In HIS Majestic presence is fullness of joy; In HIS right hand there are pleasures forever. [Psalm 16:11] Yes, beloved in the joy of his presence we are to give our love and thanksgiving to Him. In the midst of our troubles he preserves our life, through giving us a future and hope. Our God is the God of eternal hope in all circumstances of life. There is no other hope than glory of his presence in our life, going before us showing us the path of life that is joy, that is also great peace. Beloved it is through that great joy and peace through the word that enables us to move forth in his strength.
Beloved set your minds on things above, and do not lean on your own understanding. God’s plans are always best, so as long as you remain in HIM it through the promises of the word we can rest. Do not dwell on the past, move forward and know like you know your name… There is a strong tower and it is Christ in us. Just call to Jesus, Jesus, Jesus and the word of promise states he answers us when we call. The Bible states: “He will call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will rescue him and honor him. Psalm 91:15

Prayer:
Heavenly Father,
We thank you for your awesome word that empowers your people to seek you … to seek you with all their heart, mind and spirit. Forgive us of our sins Father those of omission and commission …that we would repent and stand firm in your word so that the enemy would flee. We are confident that in the midst of life’s storms only you can preserve our life. Father, let the wicked forsake their wicked ways…because we know; You have loved righteousness and hated wickedness; … Thank You God, because you have anointed Your sons and daughters With the oil of joy above all. … Give your sons/daughters the wisdom through your word to discern the works of the wickedly evil ploys set against us… May your word be on the top of mind and the tip of our tongue, and that those who plot what is evil in your sight the heart to repent and be restored; without repentance that they would suffer the consequence of their wicked and evil plans. Empower us through the joy of your presence so that we can rest in your peace without any anxiousness. In Jesus Precious name …Amen!

God’s Word: But I gain nothing if I do not have love.
Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous, it does not brag, and it is not proud. Love is not rude, is not selfish, and does not get upset with others. Love does not count up wrongs that have been done. Love takes no pleasure in evil but rejoices over the truth. Love patiently accepts all things. It always trusts, always hopes, and always endures. Love never ends. 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 NIV

Encouragement Shared:
I gain nothing if I do not have love, I do not show love, or love from a pure heart. As I read my morning devotional, it speaks about joy. – Blessed are those who have learned to acclaim you, who walk in the light of your presence, LORD. Psalm 89:15 … How can one have joy and say they are walking in the Light of His presence, if they do not have love? I began to examine my life, my thoughts, my attitude, my actions and the meditations of my heart. Is it pleasing to the Lord? Am I walking in the light of his presence? It’s hard to appreciate the glorious light of his presence with worries that lead to anxiety on my mind. Focusing on what is needed instead of being thankful what is provided. Also focusing on my physical pain, my physical limitations, instead of feeling the joy for what I am able to do. Focusing on these things does not bring joy, instead it invites anxiety along with other attitudes that are not love. These attitudes bring on indignation, caused by the root of pride.

Remain Close to the Truths of God’s Word:
I’ve seen it all too often, and if we are not careful, and lose sight of truths that speak into our lives, to teach, direct and strengthen we can fall into that attitude of indignation. For my very own life, I have suffered that damaging place leading me to depression to the point that a debilitating illness took over my life. As of late, my work situation has not been very positive mainly because of the little hours, and the low compensation… The past three years have been more difficult as time goes by. Then I find myself listening to co-workers complaints about the very same scenario. Instead of saying, “I am going to pray for you and everyone in this situation.” I say nothing, I do nothing to encourage, and then that attitude of indignation comes in pulling me down. It’s an evil gravitational pull because begins a spiral effect of negative thinking keeping me bound in this place. The Place: Not trusting anyone more importantly the Lord, leaving me devoid not experiencing the joy of His presence.

Indignation is a Destroyer:
Focusing too much on self or on our circumstance can keep us from the truths of the word sown into our hearts. I know bitterness all too well, and indignation is a destroyer. We need to follow those commands that set us free to live a qualitative life regardless of the outward circumstance. Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
Paul spent his entire life living it … Yes; beloved we can do all things through Christ that gives us strength. We need the joy to reign in our entire being so that we can live a life of love. If you find your fuse is short, or putting your own expectations of self, on others by being overly critical, cynical or even sarcastic … then unfortunately we are not walking in love, clearly these are not displaying the joy of the Lord.
